'THE SECRET GARDEN' TRAILER
COLIN FIRTH & JULIE WALTERS
Also filled with plants, but of a much more magical kind is Studiocanal's teaser for THE SECRET GARDEN with Julie Walters and Colin Firth, which arrives next spring. Little Dixie Egerickx plays Lennox, a prickly and
unloved 10-year-old girl, born in India to wealthy British parents who is sent back to England to live with her uncle, Archibald Craven on his remote
country estate deep in the Yorkshire moors. There, she begins to uncover many family secrets, particularly after meeting her sickly cousin Colin, who
has been shut away in a wing of the house. Together, the two damaged, slightly misfit children heal each other through their discovery of a wondrous secret garden, lost in the grounds of Misselthwaite Manor.
The film is based on a classic novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett |
The Secret Garden will open its doors sometime next spring |
Colin Firth plays uncle Archibald in the big screen adaptation |
I hate movies that are based around being chased! I don't know why, but it freaks me out way more than it should. I'll be fine when they are lost, but once something chases them through the tall grass, I'll have to look away! lol
ReplyDeleteI spy Patrick Wilson now that I know of him... :)
Let us just say after that film we will never look upon grass the same way! But the second one will revive our amazement with the wonders of nature.
DeleteThe Secret Garden was one of my favorite books when I was a child. The film looks enchanting and I can't wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteI know one thing for sure. I ain't looking for no damn kids in the tall grass after that preview. Spooky and so perfect for October. I'll be watching with my eyes peeking out from under my covers.
We had corn fields when me was lil' and I always thought evil lurks in them :) In truth, only foxes and bambies lived in it.
DeleteSecret Garden looks so enchanting, but I'm not liking the lil actress.
I was always terrified of cornfields because I watched Children of the Corn (another King classic) when I was a tot. Thought the devil was going to jump out of the cornfield and drag me straight to hell LOL!
DeleteIt is quite possible that he does lurk there.
DeleteClassic King!
ReplyDeleteTotally!
DeleteMight be fun. Might.
ReplyDeleteFun? Which one?
DeleteThe first one.
