'LADY AND THE TRAMP'
LIVE ACTION TRAILER IS HERE!
It is definitely a Disney weekend with Disney + new streaming service revealing trailers for its new movies and shows! The live action version
of their classic LADY AND THE TRAMP will stream on November 12th and now they've announced the first trailer and poster.
New Lady and the Tramp streams November 12th |
The story of the film centres on a pampered house dog named Lady
(Tessa Thompson) whose comfortable life slips away from her. Following a
series of tense circumstances, Lady finds herself on the loose in the
street. She manages to befriend a tough stray mutt named Tramp (Justin
Theroux, but the dog itself was actually cast among real strays). A
romance begins to blossom between them. However, their many differences,
along with more drama in Lady's life, could threaten to keep them
apart.
Speaking of Disney classics and dogs, Disney has also revealed the first look of Emma Stone as young Cruella de Vil from CRUELLA live action movie which will depict her youth. It looks offensively terrible. Beside dalmatians, the photo also reveals her costars Paul Walter Hauser and Joel Fry! That one hits theatres in May 2021!

'THE MANDALORIAN' TRAILER
FOR NEW STAR WARS TV SERIES
The highlight of the day for most sf lovers was of course the first trailer for Star Wars universe set TV series THE MANDALORIAN which will
also start streaming on Disney + November 12th. Pedro Pascal plays the title role in the series set after the Return of the Jedi when the Empire was destroyed giving way to the New Republic. Mandalorian is, however, a citizen of the underworld, a lone gunfighter from the far corner of the galaxy, who operates outside the jurisdiction of the New Republic.Disney has also announced Obi Wan Kenobi series with Ewan McGregor returning to the role. The Jedi Knight series will start shooting next year. Since Disney is always milking the cow until it kills it, they are also preparing a third series which would focus on Diego Luna's Rogue One character Cassian Andor.
Mandalorian was directed by John Favreau |
Live action "Lady and the Tramp" looks pretty good! And so, surprisingly, does "Noelle." I don't usually like "Santa/Christmas" stories but this looks like it has a few genuine laughs.
ReplyDeleteMinus the totally unfunny lead actress :)
DeleteThe Mandalorian looks good.......
ReplyDeleteShould be a treat for Star Wars fans!
DeleteWhile I'm super excited for Cruella, I'm not excited at all for Lady and the Tramp. I think Emma Stone is going to do a great job!
ReplyDeleteDisney is probably expecting lower excitement for Tramp, and that is why it is on streaming service not in cinemas lol
DeleteMariah used to watch Lady and the Tramp and 101 Dalmations on repeat when she was little. I admit, I might just have to sign up for Disney+ just for Lady and the Tramp. Cruella? Not so much. I mean, how many more live actions of that do they need?
ReplyDeleteIt will be $9,99 a month, deary :) Apple is, I think, about $6. I hear Netflix will take a certain hit with the appearance of all these new streamers this Autumn.
DeleteThat's okay. I really enjoy Disney movies and have been looking for a reason to cancel Netflix for quite some time. I pay like $14 or $15 a month for Netflix and can never find anything to watch, so this will save me money by doing Disney+ instead of Netflix.
DeleteThey will certainly have all of Disney's classics and fresh films too plus tons of new series, but sadly a lot of them will be Marvel.
DeleteI am seeing that Disney is offering drastic discounts if you sign up for a 3 year deal by the end of this weekend. I think I am going to bite the bullet and pay the $141, even though I have no interest in Star Wars or Marvel crap. Fingers crossed they have some original content that will make it worthwhile. I do like that you can have up to 7 accounts all streaming at the same time there, too. Netflix only allows 2 at a time, so we all can't be watching different shows without someone having to wait their turn. I'm sure the price will soar after 3 years, but for now, it seems like a damn good deal at $3.50 per month.
DeleteI'm sure you will find tons of nice programmes for yourself, dahlink!
