  1. I had forgotten all about this one. Nice to see that it will be available on Netflix. Looks a lot grittier and darker than the Disney version.

    1. yes, that is what Serkis said himself too! I think I liked the kid who played Mowgli in the previous one much better than this one.

    2. I think the other kid was good for that version, but this one seems like a good fit for this version. Time will tell if we enjoy him in the role when we get a chance to view it in its entirety.

    3. indeed, although I will rather watch Outlaw King than this one!

  2. People like it when a "commoner" becomes princess in real life ( See Grace Kelly, and now Megan Merkel), and even more so in movies.
There are also cases of a princess marrying a "commoner", and so, somewhat getting off the royal piedestal.

Anyway, 'The Princess Switch' sounds like a lovely sort of romance and entertainment.

    1. Yes, Japanese princess just married a commoner and had to say goodbye to her imperial status :) Megan is not, and will thankfully, never be a princess, just a duchess... although she's probably eating herself inside for not hunting down William first :) My emphatic powers tell me she is very fake and suspicious. Kate is nice, though. I myself prefer lovely and goodhearted Camila!

  3. I'm afraid to me 'princess', 'duchess' - das selbe.
As for Megan, I won't be surprised if she becomes the Queen of England. She's of the manipulative sort, and, one has to admit plays it very well.

    1. thankfully she cannot become the queen of England because if by any chance Harry ever becomes the king... god forbid... she will probably be a princess as British royal consorts don't get the title as their spouses, thus Elizabeth's husband Philip is only a prince not a king and Camilla will probably be princess Camilla, not queen, but you never know... Megan certainly is manipulative and also disrespectfully vain... I will never forget one of her first official duties when she appeared at an event held in the memory of veterans who fought in WW1. She came in a Hollywood dress with a fascinator on top of her head... deeply superficial and offensive to the grim and profound cause of the event. They also said she spent hundreds of thousands of pounds for her wardrobe at their recent Australian tour... imagine if she dressed simple and cheap and gave all that money to feed the Aboriginal kids or Australian orphans?

    2. Kudos to you! You're quite an encyclopedia regarding the royal family, titles and all.
