  1. 'The Spanish Princess' reminds me that it's been a long time since I've seen some picture of the spanish royal couple Carlos and Sofia.

What the two series have in common is strong females: Catherine of Aragon and Miss Scarlett. Beautiful and strong women are always interesting characters.

    1. that's because their son Felipe and his wife Letizia are now the king and the queen and the stars in the media, I guess. Sofia was in Serbia earlier this year, as a guest at the wedding of one of our princes (or at least he thinks he's the prince).

  2. A prequel to The Tudors? I loved that show, so I bet I'll really enjoy The Spanish Princess.

    1. the only sad thing is that we know how Catherine of Aragon's story ends, thanks to The Tudors. I adored Maria Doyle Kennedy who played her in Tudors. Did you know she is also a singer?

    2. I had no idea she sang also. She was a favorite of mine in the show as well. I'll have to see if I can find some clips of her singing. I'm intrigued now!

    3. yes, she's apparently more popular as a singer, than as an actress :) Did you see the duo between Andrea Bocceli and his ultra gorgeous son for The Nutcracker and the Four Realms?

    4. I haven't yet, but I shall look it up right now. I didn't get a chance to see Nutcracker in the theater here, and sadly it's already been removed from the cheap cinema here, so I have to wait until it's out on dvd to see it :(

    5. I'm still deliberating on it - do I love Lasse Halstrom more than I hate Keira Knightley? :)

    6. Sometimes you have to overlook the crappy acts for the sake of the good ones. We do like Lasse more than Keira so it has made its way to our watch list. She ain't gonna steal my joy this round.

    7. They did bring Joe Johnston to ad his touch to Lasse's finished version, so I'm afraid it is exactly Joe who ruined it and made the audience not like it in the end.

    1. It won't arrive any time soon, as the production will start the end of next year methinks.
