fly down into cinemas near you December 19th just in time for Christmas holidays! What can we expect from the latest movie adaptation of
P. L. Travers' (who never liked the first movie) book on the famous nanny? We should probably stay reserved given that it was directed by
Rob Marshall who is known for lack of substance and depth in his musicals, but
Emily Blunt in the lead role might just save the thing in the end! Set in 1935 London, 25 years after the events of the original film, it sees Poppins, the former nanny of Jane and Michael Banks,

ReplyDeleteSet the date for December 19th!
DeleteBut maybe it doesn’t have the right director?
ReplyDeleteif by some chance it does not turn boring and shallow it will be the first one for him :) Remember his INTO THE WOODS and MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA or CHICAGO? Absolute soulless borefests, but visually very beautiful.
DeleteI am excited to take my girls to see this.
ReplyDeletehope they will have a jolly good adventure at the cinema
DeleteDame Angela Lansbury, what an actress!
ReplyDeleteShe has no looks and charisma to work for her. It's her great acting talent that does that.
it is nice seeing the senior legends still working!
DeleteComes out on Allison’s birthday. If she doesn’t have school that day, we may make a date to see it then.
ReplyDeletedon't you just like the costume Sandy Powel did for her? Marshall almost always works with Coleen Atwood, but Sandy did amazing job with those polka dots and blue and red mix! Just look at those gloves!
DeleteI am loving the gloves! The whole wardrobe is amazing. Then again, Emily could make a trash bag look amazing.
Deleteshe certainly could, she really is such a bitch :) as if it wasn't enough for her to look gorgeous like a rose and have amazing talent, but she also had to take the hottest and cutest hunk in Hollywood for husband :))
Deletewell written review. I'll watch the film. thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeletegreeting- evi erlinda
be welcome!
DeleteSigh!
ReplyDeletenot a dying sigh I hope :)
DeleteNot yet!
Deletegood to hear it!
DeleteI just want it to be enjoyable. At least the trailer looks good so I'll have faith. Plus Emily Blunt is an amazing talent.
ReplyDeleteshe's the absolute hope of Hollywood. She was literally the only choice of the director who only wanted to do it if she is in.
