FIRST 'GRACE OF MONACO' TRAILER WITH NICOLE KIDMAN! 'THE WALKING DEAD' GETS SPINOFF SERIES AND A NEW CAST MEMBER IN CHRISTIAN SERRATOS! SERBIA SETS 'CIRCLES' AS OSCARS FOREIGN FILM ENTRY

'THE WALKING DEAD'
GETS A SPINOFF SHOW & CHRISTIAN SERRATOS AS NEW CAST MEMBER
In today's television news, AMC has confirmed that they are preparing a THE WALKING DEAD spinoff series for 2015! Not much is known so far about the plot, but it will not be based on the comic books and will have entirely new set of characters and stories set in the same world populated by zombies. It is not known whether the new show would explore the origins of the zombie apocalypse or will just follow some other survivors in some other city. The fourth season of the original show starts October 13th and during the following week around the world. It was announced yesterday that the forth season will have new face in Christian Serratos who will play beautiful Rosita Espinosa who survived the mysterious undead apocalypse that has taken over the planet and, if she becomes a popular one, she could earn a regular cast spot in the fifth season.

SERBIA SETS 'CIRCLES' FOR
FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM OSCAR
Serbia has selected deeply touching drama CIRCLES as their entry for Foreign Language Oscars! The moving drama, directed by Srdan Golubovic, scored critical acclaim at Sundance this year and has won many awards at film festivals around the world. The story is set in the midst of the Bosnian war, when Marko a Serbian soldier witnesses the brutal aggression of Haris, a Muslim civilian, by three fellow soldiers. Marko interferes and saves Haris, but is beaten to death by the infuriated soldiers. 2008: the war is over but the wounds of the conflict are still open. Marko's father is rebuilding a church, he is offered help by one of Marko's killers' son and hesitates about accepting it. Marko's friend, a renowned surgeon in Belgrade, faces terrible choices when told to operate on one of the three soldiers on the verge of death. As for Haris, he now lives in Germany and is faced with a unique opportunity to repay his debt to his savior.

GRACE OF MONACO TRAILER
WITH NICOLE KIDMAN
The first fresh trailer to arrive this week is also the first one for upcoming biopic GRACE OF MONACO in which Nicole Kidman, in a rather strange casting choice (Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron were originally considered for the role), plays famous Grace Kelly after she got married to Prince Rainier of Monaco. To open up in theatres November 27th, the movie will have the story centring on Princess Grace and the early years of her marriage to the Prince (Tim Roth), and how she helped solve a political dispute between France and Monaco and a looming French military invasion of the small princedom. The cast also includes Milo Ventimiglia, Paz Vega as Maria Callas, Derek Jacobi and Frank Langella.

DID YOU KNOW?
The royal family of Monaco has officially proclaimed this film as needlessly glamorized and historically inaccurate! For them it is not a biopic! The same thing happened to DIANA biopic which, starring Nicole's best friend Naomi Watts, also got horrid criticism and was not supported by the royal family nor by the press and the critics.

  1. They could make the Walking Dead crossover between shows at some point.

    1. they say it won't happen. I'm extremely curious to see where will the story be set this time. Will it be in USA, maybe some big city (I loved the very first episode of the show in which Rick was on the streets of Atlanta), or maybe a big establishment with the survivors.

    1. I still haven't seen the second season of Walking Dead. No real reason why either.

    2. the second season is the best one, since it is set at a farm and doesn't have much people violence

  5. "Circles" looks like an excellent film. I hope someday it comes to Edmonton for screening in our "art film" theatre. I'll keep my eyes peeled for it!

    1. that was my feeling while I watched WORLD WAR Z but not while watching THE WALKING DEAD. You see, the popularity of that show lies not within the undead, but within the living creatures, in their psychological predicaments and dillemas and in their creativity to survive and deal with the darkness. I was just thinking, a minute ago, how that show still feels so fresh that I think it started only last year...

  8. If the royal family has proclaimed the movie historically inaccurate, I definitely have to see it. This means it's probably true. ;)

    1. or probably not :) We've seen that such movies often do not show the real truth. I prefered films like QUEEN, MRS BROWN, YOUNG VICTORIA.... those seemed realistic.

  9. It would be grand if Circles won an Oscar. The story sounds like a difficult and painful one to tell. I wish I could see it, so I could see more of your homeland.

Darling, I cannot watch Princess of Monaco. Kidman is too old to play the part and Tim Roth is an arsemonkey. That fecker called me a bully and a commoner. All because I told him to go to sleep when he was pissing and moaning on a flight and annoying all the passengers. "This is what I get for allowing myself to get near the common people" "They don't know how to treat a star" he says. He bitched about it to the press and referred to one of the passengers as a bully. I was that bully. I'm glad his shitty little telly show got cancelled.

    1. That film just tells one of the numerous ironic and tragic stories from these regions, dear. There's no way it will win an Oscar, since you know what kind of money and support you need for that.

I was also shocked that Roth was chosen for Rainier... Roth always strikes me as a criminal :) not a prince. Judging from your story it seems me was right. And Nicole is a good actress generally but keeps getting roles which need grace and warmth, two things she has not. She is too plastic and rigid for most of the roles she gets.

Darling, you are such a bully :PPPP

    3. :P you know, I was trying to think of a single of his roles and I couldn't ... and I've never even heard of the show of his you mentioned.... that's the proof how big of a star he is :)

  10. I have not seen The Walking Dead, but a lot of my friends are huge fans of the how. However, I agree with the others. How much longer before the zombie craze ends? Kinda like the vampire crap that seems to be simmering down now too.

    1. maybe you can find Srdan's previous, also critically acclaimed, movie THE TRAP, it also has an amazing story about a man whose son is extremely ill and will die if they don't take him to a surgery abroad, but they are poor and don't have the money. Some criminal then approaches him and offers him the money for the surgery if he assassinates some other criminal. In the end the wife of the criminal he kills actually pays for the surgery of his son.

  14. I hope The Walking Dead spinoff doesn't become more like Resident Evil :( I liked all the family and survival interactions in Walking Dead.

Good to see Nicole back in films. She is a good actress.
