JURASSIC WORLD GETS
BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD & JOHN KRASINSKI IN THE CAST?
Believe it or not we're having a dinosaurs Monday today :) Probably the biggest dinosaur film ever JURASSIC PARK is getting a new sequel in June 2015 and it will be titled JURASSIC WORLD since the story will be set in an entertainment park with real and tamed dinosaurs visited by millions people each year, at least until something very nasty happens there and the dinosaurs go crazy. There are rumours that new, underwater, species of dinosaurs will be seen in the film. Now, the latest update is that lovely redhead Bryce Dallas Howard is negotiating to take the lead female role. This doesn't mean that her famous daddy, director Ron Howard would helm the film. It is being directed by Collin Trevorrow. Earlier this summer John Krasinski was rumoured for the lead male role.
WALKING WITH DINOSAURS
CHARACTER POSTERS & TRAILER
A dinosaur adventure that is hitting theatres December 20th this year is WALKING WITH DINOSAURS THE MOVIE. This extraordinary movie, directed by Neil Nightingale and Barry Cook (MULAN, ARTHUR CHRISTMAS), will bring unseen visuals to the cinemas and today you can see brilliant posters showing some of the creatures to be seen in the movie and also a new breathtaking trailer. Set back in the prehistoric times, 70 million years ago, when massive dinosaurs roamed the world the film will follow Pachyrhinosaurus siblings Scowler (Musone), Juniper (Ginepro) and Pachi, along with their new friend Alex and the dreaded Gorgosaurus Gorgone! The main heroes in this epic adventure are brother dinosaurs who, trying to follow in their father's footsteps, confront a different species they have never encountered in the Arctic north!
PREHISTORIC DINOTIDBITS
The movie is based on extremely popular BBC television series and is using some of the most advanced techniques in order to bring us computer generated dinosaurs in live action settings. The movie was shot in Alaska since the dinosaurs from the film lived there in the Cretaceous period. The marketing will include encyclopaedic books, sticker books and handbooks and guides featuring the dinosaurs from the movie. A computer game will also be released!

That trailer is excellent! Already I'm looking forward to it and it will be just the thing for Winter blues. And it's nice to see that they will be promoting it with educational items rather than with crap toys in a Micky D's Happy Meal.
ReplyDeleteyep, methinks that a rather beautiful December in cinemas is awaiting us, lots of heartwarming and delightful projects to look forward too in the festive season.
DeleteI'd like to think that Dino's were brightly coloured rather than dull greys and browns. And truly with the lush environment they lived in there's no reason they couldn't have been. I almost bought another bag of little plastic Dino's at the Dollar Store today, but then put them back. Oooh I should go and get them tomorrow!
Deletewhat will you do with them, dear? :)
DeleteDinosaur Monday? Awesome! :)
ReplyDeletewell, each website needs to have Dinosaur Monday now and then :)
DeleteI did not know Bryce Dallas Howard was Ron Howard's daughter. She's very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteand not only that she is his daughter, but she also has an actor husband :) There are so many celebrity siblings and relatives, that sometimes even I get puzzled. I didn't know, for example, that Emily Osment, I've mentioned last week, is sister to little Haley Joel Osment from SIXTH SENSE...
DeleteExactly a Monday for my son !!!
ReplyDelete"Jurassic World" seems to be a remake of "Jurassic Park" (even if the dinosaurs of the movie are not all of the same period and the same continents !!)
"Walking with Dinosaurs" looks perfect for kids!
The small " Pachicephalosorus " looks so nice !!
(another dinosaur is called :
"micropachicepalosaurus" (!) which is almost the longest word in French ....)
Thanks Dezz: I will show that to my son this evening after school, he will be very happy !
not a remake but a new sequel :) Fourth one, methinks....
DeleteHope you will take the son to see the movie in winter :)
WHOA how in the hell did Ron Howard sire that gorgeous babe???????
ReplyDeleteI didn't know his daughter was an actress. Never noticed it was her as Gwen Stacy in Spiderman 3
DeleteI think you've asked me that question once before, Debs :)
Delete@Adam
Deleteshe had a number of roles in big movies, including TERMINATOR :)
Sorry, I'm a bit senile. Pushin' the big 5-0 ya know.
Deletea fact we can't believe in still :)
DeleteWalking with Dinosaurs looks ace will be taking the kids to see that for certain!
ReplyDeleteit will be a brilliant fun, Simon! You will have to buy them dinosaur toys after that :)
DeleteHoly moley, when did Opie get old enough to have a daughter that age...?
ReplyDeleteI loved the original Jurassic Park flicks, but neither was as good as the books. Still, I 'd probably watch the new movie just to see where they take the story. (When WILL people learn their lesson about trying to tame wild critters?)
Do you remember an old animated TV show about dinosaurs? If I remember right, it was simply called "Dinosaurs." It was loosely based on the old Honeymooners show, and was absolutely hilarious at times. I'm pretty sure we still have VHS tapes of all the old shows.
he's old enough to have grandkids, dear :P
DeleteThere were so many dinosaur shows in the previous decades, it seems their time can come again :)
too many dinosaurs roaming the earth, glad that Howard gets to ride one... wait I am a dinosaur... :)
ReplyDeletehope not a Jeremy Rex :P
DeleteWalking with Dinosaurs looks like a fun one to take the kids too! Doesn't look too boyish, so I will plan to take my girls to see that one. Thanks for sharing the trailer!
ReplyDeleteYep, it will be a film for all genders and all ages :) A family fun!
DeleteJurassic Park scared the snot out of me as a kid, but I'll admit I'm looking forward to the new film. Should be interesting or entertaining at least!
ReplyDeleteshould be super fun, Meradeth, thank for visiting the spy :)
DeleteThe dinosaur graphics are outstanding.
ReplyDeletethey, are, aren't they? Looking almost real!
DeleteWow! That trailer is amazing.
ReplyDeleteit is, isn't it? :)
DeleteI saw the trailer to Walking with the Dinosaurs. It might be an interesting movie.
ReplyDeletegreat one for the family, Sherry
DeleteMy brother loves dinosaurs and an updated Jurassic park will immediately go on his must see list. Of course, I may have to tag along, keep him company...
ReplyDeletethere's time to wait, that one won't arrive so soon :)
Deletewow, WALKING WITH DINOSAURS looks impressive. Usually they go for a cute, brightly coloured stylised look for animations. I know it's based off the documentary, thus the lack of stylisation, but I think it's a risk. Hope it does well :)
ReplyDeleteit will be a huge hit just as the documentary show was :) The only problem could be the fact that it is produced by BBC not by some huge studio.
DeleteMe and the kiddos LOVE Walking with Dinosaurs. It can get a little gruesome at times, but hey - eat or be eaten!
ReplyDeletethe kids will enjoy it for sure, Papa Noel :)
DeleteFantastic WALKING WITH DINOSAURS the look is awesome love it !!
ReplyDeleteglad you like it, Vincent, it is amazing, isn't it?
DeleteAlways loved dino's! A must see for me!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Peter
