And continuing ladies day at HOLLYWOOD SPY today, E!'s first scripted
show THE ROYALS has found new female cast members - Haley Lu Richardson
(RAVENSWOOD) and Alexandra Park (HOME AND AWAY)! THE ROYALS, a show
about a fictional royal family, centres on Prince Liam (William Moseley)
who is thrust in the spotlight after his older brother, the beloved
Prince Robert, is killed in a military training accident. Liam is in
love with a young American woman, Ophelia (Haley Lu Richardson), the
daughter of the royal family’s head of security who is studying art
history and dance and who helps him cope with the loss of his brother
and his new position as the next King of England. But her secret romance
with Liam will bring her into conflict with the Queen (Liz Hurley).
Alexandra Park will play the queen’s daughter and Liam’s sister,
Princess Eleanor, the sexy princess with a party hard lifestyle. Her
love interest will be played by dashing Tom Austin.
JESSICA BROWN FINDLAY IN
And here's yet another period set programme coming in the future to the small screens. 'Digital Spy' reports that DOWNTON ABBEY's Jessica Brown Findlay will lead the cast in BBC One's new mini series JAMAICA INN. This is an adaptation of Daphne du Maurier novel. Set in 1820s Cornwall, JAMAICA INN follows spirited Mary Yellan (Brown Findlay), a young woman sent to live with her aunt (Joanne Whalley) after the death of her mother. When Mary arrives at the eerie, isolated Jamaica Inn, she finds her once carefree aunt is now firmly under the spell of domineering husband Joss (Sean Harris). The inn, it turns out, is a front for a smuggling ring. As Mary attempts to navigate her new surroundings, she falls for bad boy Jem (Matthew McNulty) and begins questioning her own morals and loyalties until an ultimate test reveals her true self. Findlay has recently joined James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe in FRANKENSTEIN movie too!
Eva Longoria in any thing has my attention.
ReplyDeleteand in nothing especially ,yes? :P
DeleteEva Longoria... hey, that is what I was going to say... but she is a looker!
ReplyDeletehad to show her in all her size to my boys today :)
Deleteshe is pretty hot
Deleteindeed
DeleteI've got nothing to say today except "Hi Dezzy!"
ReplyDeleteHi, Debs!
DeleteI'll read your post some other tiem, Dezz. Just wanted to say hi.
ReplyDeletewe miss you Randy Mandy! We miss you terribly!
DeleteEva is looking very good!
ReplyDeleteshe is, isn't she?
DeleteI think Eva is the most gorgeous woman in the world, YES, THE WORLD!!!!!
ReplyDeleteand just to think that ex husband of hers cheated on her!
DeleteJamaica Inn could be good. I like the idea of a smuggling ring-something different. I do worry now that with so many historical's they will become every day and lose their charm. It's always a bit dangerous to do too much in one genre.
ReplyDeleteespecially with the fact that most of the historical shows we've been excited about proved to be bad after airing :(
DeleteBoth WHITE QUEEN, GAME OF THRONES and ATLANTIS have dissapointed me this year, with only DA VINCI'S DEMONS satisfying my taste.
I haven't seen any of those yet. I may have seen Da Vinci's Demons listed on Netflix, but I'll have to check. I'm still finishing up series that closed a year or more ago.
DeleteI think both you and the hubs might enjoy DA VINCI, dear, it's lovely and sexy and a bit more inteliigent than other US shows, and plus you know how much Tom Riley and Elliott Cowan love me :)
DeleteEva certainly is a beautiful woman! I hope Jamaica Inn turns out to be good. It sounds like it has great potential!
ReplyDeletefingers crossed, Sherry!
DeleteOoh, ooh, Jamaica Inn has my vote. And I love Daphne du Maurier's writing, don't you?
ReplyDeletenever heard of her before :P but I will watch the series for sure, never miss anything historical :)
DeletePlot of Jamaica Inn looks good ~ Eva looks stunning ~
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update dear Dezzy ~ Goodness,I am so excited about the Hobbit movie (from your header) ~
Eva has such a perfect little package :)
DeleteHope you will like today's post on HOBBIT!
Love Eva Longoria - she's positively stunning. I wish they made more Desperate Housewives. That was a fun drama!
ReplyDeleteHope you're good Dezzy? Have been most remiss with my comments as of late :)
I didn't like the way they ended HOUSEWIVES :( I miss Marcia Cross most, Bri was my fave TV character ever :)
DeleteJamaica Inn looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt's been forever since I've seen Longoria in anything. I stopped watching Desperate Housewives when life became too busy for me.
she probably has the most movies and projects of all of HOUSEWIVES but not in major blockbusters
DeleteI loved Eva in Desperate Housewives, but sadly, even she couldn't hold my attention after the 3rd season. Is it me, or does that woman just get hotter with age? Sigh.. if we could all be so lucky!
ReplyDeletethe show became more crime than comedy after that, but I always loved teh characters... I didn't like the end....
