KIDNAPPING FREDDY HEINEKEN
Now if this ain't an uber hot male cast, I don't know what is: 'Variety' reports that three Hollywood hunks Sam Worthington, Jim Sturgess and Ryan Kwanten have joined KIDNAPPING FREDDY HEINEKEN which already has Anthony Hopkins! Based on Peter L. De Vries' bestselling book the script is focusing on the true story of Dutch beer mogul Alfred "Freddy" Heineken (Anthony Hopkins), who was kidnapped along with his driver Ab Doderer in 1983. They were both released after the ransom of a whopping 35 Dutch guilders was paid, which is the equivalent of $50 million today. The abductors were eventually caught and prosecuted. Daniel Alfredson is directing. Methinks the ladies will enjoy the hunky cast and the gents will enjoy the film with a can of Heineken!
THEORY OF EVERYTHING
EDDIE REDMAYNE, HARRY LLOYD, EMILY WATSON, FELICITY JONES
Another guy favourite among the ladies, red headed Eddie Redmayne from LES MISERABLES is getting new company in his new project THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING in which he plays famous genius Stephen Hawking! British thespians Emily Watson and David Thewlis have now joined the cast which also includes Felicity Jones, Charlie Cox, Maxine Peake and GAME OF THRONES' Harry Lloyd! The film, which has just started shooting over in UK, will see Eddie Redmayne playing famous physicist Stephen Hawking and Felicity Jones playing Jane Wilde, the arts student he fell in love with while studying at Cambridge in the 1960s who later became his wife.
THE JUDGE'S WILL
Deadline reports that Alexander Payne will direct for Fox a movie adaptation of Ruth Prawer Jhabvala's story THE JUDGE'S WILL about the final moments in the chess game relationship between an ailing Delhi judge and his beautiful younger Bombay wife. Each has separate lives even though they live under the same roof and as he nears death, the judge wants to be sure that his even younger, barely educated mistress is cared for and not cast out. Describing the spousal battle and unfolding the judge's secret life, the story proves that the wife and the mistress, are indeed different versions of the same caged animal.

Wow, this post is like a pinata... full of goodies, and I didn't even have to whop it with a stick to get at 'em. The SyFy (I HATE that new spelling) show sounds terrific, and I'm a huge fan of Hawking, so there's two winners right there for me.

DeleteVery much looking forward to The Theory of Everything. We think of Hawking as less human and more genius. Also will be nice to remember that there was a time that he walked and spoke with no assistance. Should be a good one.
ReplyDeleteI do adore the cast, two of my fave gents Eddie and Harry!
