CW'S GOES SF AGAIN IN
MARS 'COLONY' TV SHOW
After two new sf shows this season THE TOMORROW PEOPLE and STAR CROSSED, it seems that CW is venturing even further into the science fiction genre. They've just opted for another sf show COLONY which is, according to Deadline, a thriller about a group of explorers sent to colonize Mars, willing to leave their lives behind to brave the dangers of another planet, and the terrifying reality they discover. It is inspired by the story of 'The Lost Colony', the 16th century British settlement on Roanoke Island, off the coast of North Carolina, whose inhabitants vanished without a trace, sparking a slew of theories about their fate. The show will be written by ONCE UPON A TIME's Ian Goldberg.

I don't get the need for all these superhero reboots, especially when there's such a wealth of characters and teams they could be mining for the big screen.
