FIRST 'BELLE' TRAILER
MATTHEW GOODE, SAM REID, TOM WILKINSON, TOM FELTON
Well, here's a clip we've been waiting for: the first trailer for period drama BELLE which I wrote about a couple of times throughout last year. Opening in theatres next May, BELLE is inspired by the true story of Dido Elizebeth Belle (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), the illegitimate mixed race daughter of a Royal Navy Admiral (Matthew Goode). Raised by her aristocratic great-uncle Lord Mansfield (Tom Wilkinson) and his wife (Emily Watson), Belle's lineage affords her certain privileges, yet the colour of her skin prevents her from fully participating in the traditions of her social standing. Left to wonder if she will ever find love, Belle falls for an idealistic young vicar's son (Sam Reid) bent on change who, with her help, shapes Lord Mansfield's role as Lord Chief Justice to end slavery in England. The cast also includes Tom Felton, Sarah Gadon, Miranda Richardson...
Yes, a million times yes for BELLE!
ReplyDeleteshould be fun, we do love us period movies especially with Matthew in the cast :)
DeleteJurassic World should be fun - I'd rather something darker, without kids as the focus, but at the end of the day . . . DINOSAURS! :)
ReplyDeleteAs for Crossbones, that can't come soon enough. It's a shame Hugh Laurie dropped out, but John Malkovich is a great choice as well.
well, it is a family movie, so it probably won't go too dark... not that a movie with a Trex can be not dark LOL
DeleteI hope CROSSBONES will be more glamorous as opposed to BLACK SAILS.
