BLAKE LIVELY JOINS
I don't know about you, but I have to admit I kinda missed lovely and elegant Blake Lively after GREEN LANTERN. But it seems she is back: she has taken the lead role in THE AGE OF ADALINE which was previously meant for Katherine Heigl. The romantic drama, as Deadline writes, follows the miraculous life of the 29-year-old title character, who stops ageing after recovering from a near-fatal accident. Over the 20th century she embarks on an epic but isolated worldwide journey, keeping her secret, until she meets a man who forever alters her life. This beautiful and timeless tale will also have Ellen Burstyn in the cast.
LOTTE VERBEEK JOINS
'OUT- LANDER' EPIC SERIES
One of our most anticipated of the upcoming new epic shows OUTLANDER
has just taken deadly seductive Lotte Verbeek away from her other epic
show THE BORGIAS. In the new show she will play the enigmatic and witchy
Geillis Duncan, wife of the procurator fiscal. To air next year at
Starz, the TV adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's historical adventure will
tell the story of Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), a married combat
nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743. When she
is forced to marry Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), a chivalrous and
romantic young Scottish warrior, a passionate affair is ignited that
tears Claire’s heart between two vastly different men in two
irreconcilable lives. Graham McTavish, Laura Donnelly and Tobias Menzies
are also in the cast. Stunning red head Lotte Verbeek has just finished shooting FAULT IN OUR STARS touching and inspiring drama about ill and disabled teenagers who seek hope and love in their lives.
GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL
TRAILER WITH RALPH FIENNES, JUDE LAW, ADRIEN BRODY, SAOIRSE RONAN
Here's a trailer for a film with a rather stunning stellar cast: THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL which arrives to theatres next March starring Jude Law, Adrien Brody, Ralph Fiennes, Saoirse Ronan, Tilda Swinton, Angela Lansbury, Jason Schwartzman, Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Willem Dafoe, Tom Wilkinson, Edward Norton, Harvey Keitel... The movie recounts the adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars in the 1920s, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune - all against the back-drop of a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent.
Ooh, I'm intrigued by both movies and what a fabulous looking hotel! Does the hotel really look like that?
ReplyDeleteit's possible, most buildings in Hungary, Austria and my own city of Subotica, here in Vojvodina, are done in the Secessionist style.
DeleteIT MUST BE RED DAY!
ReplyDeleteGreat as always DEZZY!
we always try to match the colours :) Lotte was in red and then Blake told me she wants to appear in red today as well :)
DeleteLOL. I don't think I've ever seen Ralph Fiennes do comedy before. That was a great clip. Such great one liners. :))
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, we are looking very much forward to Outlander. It's been fun following who is being cast for each role.
he did have a few of the ventures into the genre before :)
DeleteIt seems OUTLANDER will have tones of irresistibly stunning people :) From Lotte to Citriona and Sam.... we shall need pills to calms us down :)
I'm actually about to see Green Latern.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the movie, it was nice... not huge, but nice and visually gorgeous, and Blake and Ryan were so brilliant together.
DeleteThe Grand Budapest Hotel looks silly! I'd wondered what Adrian Brody was up to. I don't think I've seen him in a while.
ReplyDeletehe should play in more films, he is such a talented and expressive actor
DeleteI do like Blake, but I like Katherine more. Though I hear Katherine is a diva to work with. Such a shame!
ReplyDeleteyep, I've heard that about Katherine too :)
DeleteThank Gawd no Katherine. I honestly can't stand to even look at her, and when she opens that big horse mouth I want to plug it up with an apple and a bucket of oats. I'm finished ranting now.
ReplyDeletenow, tell us what you really think of her, Debs :PPP
DeleteJust keepin' it real Dezzy. Hahahaha
