NEW MITFORD SISTERS SERIES IMAGES

Although their life has been already adapted a couple of times by BBC, famous Mitford sisters are getting a new period set series at UKTV's channel Drama and Britbox in USA and today we have new images as the series will start June 19th. The six part series OUTRAGEOUS will depict the British socialite sisters, whose antics in the 1930s made their family one of the most well known in the UK. Several infamously supported fascism and the Nazis, though two became staunch opponents of the ideology. Two became well known authors. It will be a story of family betrayals, public scandal, political extremism, personal heartache and even imprisonment. Given that the air date is relatively soon, BritBox has released the trailer as well today which you can see below the post, so you can check it out and tell us what you think, will you be watching when it is released for streaming this summer?

A week ago I informed you that Netflix has ordered a slate of new projects which will be produced down in Australia and they include Desert King series

The movie is out September 28th

and also a new romantic movie LOVE IS IN THE AIR with Australian pop star Delta Goodrem which will stream from September 28th starring also Joshua Sasse as her love interest, and now we have a trailer and posters for it!

  In this high flying romance, Australian Celine Dion and song writer plays a fiercely independent seaplane pilot flying in the Tropics, who suddenly finds herself fighting to keep her family business afloat and then unexpectedly starts to fall for the man sent by corporate to ground her operation forever and sink her business. Roy Billing, Steph Tisdell and Simon Brook McLahlan also star in this movie which was writen and directed by Adrian Powers and shot down in Australian Queensland!

Paramount Plus has released first images and also a launch date for the revival of beloved sitcom FRASIER which returns with new episodes October 12th with a two episode premiere and will then stream the rest weekly. It is interesting that the series will also go broadcast airing on CBS from October 17th!  

 

KELSEY GRAMMER RETURNS

 to portray the titular character who has returned to Boston, where everybody knows your name, as his grown son Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott) enters college. Frasier is also embarking on a new chapter of his life back in his old stomping grounds with new challenges, new relationships to forge and an old dream or two to fulfill finally.

 THE TEN EPISODE SERIES

Netflix Australia has ordered a slate of new projects which includes new Delta Goodrem movie LOVE IS IN THE AIR which will stream September 28th also starring Joshua Sasse as her love interest. Delta plays a seaplane pilot flying in the north Australian tropics who falls in love with the man sent to ruin her business.

 

DESERT KING SERIES

In the series department, Netflix will go Down Under to produce DESERT KING set in the Australian Outback, an epic succession tale which revolves around billionaire miners, traditional owners, cowboys and desert gangsters fighting over the world’s biggest cattle station the size of Wales. It’s a hot, dusty, sexy Outback Western with guns and helicopters. It is directed by Greg McLean and created by Tim Lee and Ben Davies. As 'Deadline' reports it centres on a risk averse, straight arrow, female procurement manager (Tori Anderson) at an Amazon like distribution centre. She falls in love with a free wheeling man (Joshua Sasse), who lives life to the fullest because he believes the apocalypse is imminent, leading to comedic and poignant results as they embark on a quest together to fulfil their individual bucket lists!

In other TV news, something we announced earlier has been confirmed: Neil Patrick Harris will lead the cast of A SERIES OF UNFORTU- NATE EVENTS TV series at Netflix, as Count Olaf with Patrick Warburton playing Lemony Snicket! The eight episode series, to be directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, tells the tale of the orphaned children Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes) and Sunny Baudelaire at the hands of the villainous Count Olaf (Harris), as they face trials and tribulations, misfortunes and an evil uncle in search of their fortune, all in their quest to uncover the secret of their parents’ deaths. THE GALLANT KNIGHT

Charming and handsome, Galavant (Jossua Sasse) is a gallant knight and hero so beloved he is known by just one name. When he goes to save the love of his life, Madalena, after she was kidnapped by the evil King Richard, she rejects GALAVANT when he proclaims all he has to offer her is his love. Since then, he has gone broke, stopped bathing and has gained weight - most likely due to his penchant for libations.

THE EVIL KING
King Richard (Timothy Omundson) is the evil king who kidnapped Madalena. He has a strong hatred and great disdain for GALAVANT, especially since his wife Madalena cannot stop talking about him. He sends Isabella to lure GALAVANT to him, with plans to kill the beloved hero. Notorious for his evil ways, King Richard indulges in such hobbies as raising taxes and tormenting the poor. The evil king isn’t as tough as one may think, though - one insult from Madalena and he bursts into tears.

THE FLIMSY QUEEN

A lady with long legs and glowing skin, Madalena (Mallory Jansen) is the love of Galavant’s life who gets kidnapped by King Richard. When GALAVANT comes to save her, she chooses the life of fame and fortune over him and marries King Richard instead. Rigid and demanding, she shows her true colours after becoming queen. She is also a bit of a nymphomaniac.

THE HANDY HENCH MAN
Rough and tough, Gareth (played by action star Vinnie Jones) is King Richard’s right-hand henchman who does the king’s fighting for him. He is King Richard’s brawn and often has to instruct the king on how to be more manly in his ways.

THE SPUNKY PRINCESS

Isabella (Karen David), (full name: Princess Isabella Lucia Maria Elizabetta of Valencia) is the spunky Princess of Valencia who seeks out and engages the once gallant GALAVANT in order to save her people from King Richard. She is sent by the king to lure GALAVANT to him, as King Richard plans to kill Galavant in front of his former flame, Madalena. She is a great actress, as her kingdom is known for theater... and also, cabbage.

TRUSTY SQUIRE
Sid (Luke Youngblood) is Galavant’s trusty squire who assists the fallen hero. He keeps Galavant’s life in order, especially after Madalena rejected GALAVANT, who hasn’t been himself since then. Sid is adopted; when he was a baby, an older couple found him on their doorstep and took him in.
