The original series from the 80s became their most watched drama ever and now Channel 4 has cast Brenda Blethyn to lead the reboot of A WOMAN OF SUBSTANCE  based on Barbara Taylor Bradford's novel with Jessica Reynolds playing the younger version. Story follows the tale of an impoverished, ambitious maid Emma Harte in Yorkshire who takes a dizzying climb to become the world’s richest woman, gazing down on her sprawling empire from a luxury New York penthouse. Although their life has been already adapted a couple of times by BBC, famous Mitford sisters are getting a new period set series at UKTV's channel Drama and Britbox in USA and today we have new images as the series will start June 19th. The six part series OUTRAGEOUS will depict the British socialite sisters, whose antics in the 1930s made their family one of the most well known in the UK. Several infamously supported fascism and the Nazis, though two became staunch opponents of the ideology. Two became well known authors. It will be a story of family betrayals, public scandal, political extremism, personal heartache and even imprisonment. Given that the air date is relatively soon, BritBox has released the trailer as well today which you can see below the post, so you can check it out and tell us what you think, will you be watching when it is released for streaming this summer?

MGM Plus has released today first images and also the first trailer for BELGRAVIA: THE NEXT CHAPTER the sequel to Julian Fellowes unsuccessful small screen adaptation of his own book which now gets new characters and is poised to air January 14th three years after the original series. Set 25 years after the original story, in 1871, it revolves around the third Lord Trenchard as he falls in love with a newcomer to London society.

is returning next year with a third season, which will also be its final, and they've just issued an announcement trailer for it. The series which follows a witch Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer) and a vampire Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode), who fall in love in a world in which that love is forbidden, will ad a number of new actors in the final season which finished shooting last month. Reign's, Medici's and The Last Kingdom's Toby Regbo is joining as the older version of the son whom Diana and Matthew adopted during their visit to the Elizabethan England where she tried to develop her time weaving powers. Peter McDonald (also from The Last Kingdom) will be replacing Trystan

Gravelle as senior vampire Baldwin Montclair/ de Clermont after a scheduling conflict saw the latter pull out. He will play a larger role in the third season in which Diana and Matthew continue their fight to get their love recognised by their respective kind. Ivanno Jeremiah (as molecular biologist and friend of Diana, Christopher Roberts), Genesis Lynea (as a New Orleans vampire), Parker Sawyers (as New Orleans vampire Ransome Fayrweather, Matthew's grandson) and Olivier Huband (as Portuguese vampire Fernando Gonçalves) are also new additions to the cast. Lindsay Duncan, Tom Hughes, Alex Kingston and James Purefoy were also regulars in season two and should return as well. The series airs on AMC in USA.

I don't want to be a wet blanket or frighten you, my spylings, but this could very well be the last of the big epic shows we will be able to see till Autumn if not even longer. As of today, you can stream the fourth season of everybody's favourite historical saga THE LAST KINGDOM over at Netflix. Unlike the first and second seasons which had just eight episodes, this one has ten of them just like the third season had, so you get more time to enjoy brave warrior Uhtred and his merry bunch of misfits.

Alexander Dreymon is brave Uhtred!

(David Dawson) with the alliances between the smaller kingdoms of old Anglia fractured. Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon) believes the timing is right to challenge his uncle Aelfric (played by Joseph Millson), and take back his ancestral home, Bebbanburg from which he was driven away in the first season. However fate shifts in a different direction, leading Uhtred to realise that his destiny is tied to Alfred’s dream of a united land. This, and Uhtred’s feelings for Alfred's daughter Aethelflaed (Millie Brady), drive him back into the politics that threaten to break out into war.

Uhtred's Trusted Followers

As before, Uhtred will be able to use the help of his courageous and also gorgeous friends, warriors Finan (played by Mark Rowley) and freshly married Sihtric (played by Arnas Fedaravičius) whose wife has been left in Wessex. Alfred's bastard son Osferth (Ewan Mitchell) is also still with them as a monk turned warrior.

With the sickly king Alfred now dead and his young and inexperienced son Edward (Timothy Innes) on the throne, Wessex has never been more vulnerable, which makes his mother, flimsy and often evil queen Aelswith (Eliza Butterworth) very nervous. Edward's sister Aethelflaed (Millie Brady) who is both the princess of Wessex and the queen of Mercia, will be Uhtred's love interest in this season.

The Kingdom of Mercia

Mercia is still ruled by treacherous and slimy King Aethelred (played by Toby Regbo) who is still married to Alfred's daughter, whom he wanted to kill in the previous season, but has a new love interest in lady Eadith (played by Stefanie Martini) the sister of his new right hand man Eardwulf (played by Jamie Blackley)!

Who Else Is Back With Us?

Beside his brave sidekicks Finan and Sihtric, Uhtred can still also count on his childhood guardian father Beocca (played by Ian Hart), who was a part of King Alfred's court but is now expelled from the crown’s inner circle because queen Aleswith does not trust him and is now also a widower after his wife was burned alive, and on the warrior nun Hild (played by Eva Birthistle). The new season will also bring us grown up Uhtred's daughter Stiorra (Ruby Hartley). Treacherous Dane Cnut is also back played by Magnus Bruun joined by Eysteinn Sigurdarson as Sigtryggr!

Medici: The Magnificent was definitely a far cry from the marvellous first season Medici: Masters of Florence, having none of its great cast and masterful storytelling, as its lead star Daniel Sharman showed a rather shocking lack of acting chops, charisma and any kind of expression or even screen presence, but RAI's most successful international project is still getting the third season and we have first photos from the sets revealing not only a new longer hair look for Sharman's Lorenzo Medici, but also Sanditon's Rose Williams who is joining the season in the role of Caterina Sforza Riario, a historical figure known as the Renaissance lioness whose defiance and ruthlessness have made her a tyrant.
