Although it will not get into cinemas before November, we have the first trailer for RENTAL FAMILY comedy drama which sees Brendan Fraser in his first big role after the Oscar winning performance in The Whale three years ago. In the new film he plays as a lonely, down-and-out American actor living in Tokyo who begins working for a Japanese “rental family” company to play various stand-in roles in other people’s lives. Along the way, he forges some surprising human connections and discovers unexpected joys within his built-in family. The film will first premiere at Toronto Film Festival next month. Ever since it premiered at Venice Film Festival movie drama THE WHALE has been gathering Oscar buzz for Brendan Fraser's outstanding role in it for which he keeps getting standing ovations and now we finally get to see it in the first trailer for the film which hits cinemas December 9th! Based on the play by Samuel D. Hunter, THE WHALE sees Brendan Fraser in the lead role in Darren Aronofsky directed film as Charlie, a 600-pound reclusive middle-aged English teacher who tries to reconnect with his 17-year-old daughter. The two have grown apart after Charlie abandoned his family for his gay lover, who later died, which led to Charlie binge-eating out of pain and guilt.

The new team of super heroes was first announced in DC's other series Titans. It will follow the adventures of an idealistic mad scientist and his field team of super powered outcasts. Fraser and Bomer will play the characters only in flashbacks, while Matthew Zyk and Riley Shanahan will play the heroes under their costumes.

Written and directed by Dalibor Stach (who describes things that actually happened to him in real life), the movie follows a boy who drowns when he is six years-old and has a near-death experience and then it happens again when he is 18 years old. In the five minutes that he is declared dead the second time, he sees his past lives from before he was born, and his future lives up until the year 3,012. When he comes out of it, he decides to write a book which becomes a best-seller in the Czech Republic.

In his first tweets ever, French director Luc Besson has revealed today that this December he will start production on the big screen adaptation of VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS science fiction graphic novel! Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevigne are set to lead the cast. As 'Deadline' reports they will play Valerian and Laureline in the adaptation of the original story, which centred on a pair of spatio temporal agents who help defend a utopian 28th century Earth and its neighbouring planets from bad guys, with the pair’s adventures rooted in space opera and time travel themes not so much unlike Besson's 'Fifth Element'!
