MUSICAL EPISODE OF STAR TREK STRANGE NEW WORLDS
The episode will air August 3rd on Paramount |
SOCIETY OF THE SNOW
TO PREMIERE IN VENICE!
Since there will be no stars at Venice Film Festival due to the strike, Netflix, who is one of the causes of the said strike, is sending J. A. Bayona's movie SOCIETY OF THE SNOW to close the film festival with its world premiere. The movie starring Enzo Vogrincic, Matías Recalt, Agustín Pardella, Esteban Kukuriczka and Tomas Wolf, will thus open in September. The story of the Spanish language film depicts the aftermath of a crash of a 1972 flight carrying a Uruguayan rugby team to Chile over the Andes. Out of the 45 passengers, only 29 managed to survive resorting to extreme measures after their plane landed on a glacier.
SOCIETY OF THE SNOW reminds me of Ethan Hawke's Alive.
ReplyDeleteIt is the same story that has been done before in Alive. But this one will not be Hollywood.
DeleteI read the book Alive. Disturbing to have to eat your teammates to survive!
ReplyDeleteAnd they were athletes so they were probably chewy to eat due to all the muscles LOL
DeleteI'm pretty sure I saw the movie, that was disturbing.
DeleteA musical episode of strange new worlds? Why, just why.
DeleteI know, I am not overly excited myself, it kinda reminds me of that fairy tale episode from the first season which was the worst of all episodes. And this one will, it seems, have Uhura dominating, and I cannot stand her ever since she refused to help Una Chin Reilly in the second episode of the second season, what a bitch.
