GO ON A HIGH SEAS ADVENTURE WITH BARBAROSSA: THE SWORD OF THE MEDITERRANEAN 16TH CENTURY EPIC TV SERIES

 BARBAROSSA EPIC TV SERIES
SWORD OF THE MEDITERRANEAN
The series has more than 100 episodes
Now, this one has actually aired on Turkish television two years ago but it is currently available on various national streamers around Europe (including Kion in Russia), so I thought I might spotlight it for those who might find it and watch it! BARBAROSSA: THE SWORD OF THE MEDITERR ANEAN (Barbaroslar Akdeniz'in Kılıcı) described as Magnificent Century meets The Pirates of the Caribbean, is TRT's historical drama, based on the life of "Barbarossa" Hayreddin Pasha and his brothers. The series tells the adventures of corsairs Ishak, Oruc, Hizir, and Ilyas fighting high tides and the secrets of the seas in pursuit of the holy secret. It is the first Turkish epic series that takes places at the sea. If I got it right, the series has over a hundred episodes which are available on YouTube in Turkish.

BARBAROS TV SERIES
will take viewers on a historic journey across the Ottoman Empire based on the life of 16th-century Ottoman admiral "Barbaros" Hayreddin Pasha and the adventures of four brothers who become seafarers. The drama series retells this adventure through the stories of four brothers; Ishak (Yetkin Dikinciler), Oruc (Engin Altan Düzyatan), Hizir (Ulas Tuna Astepe), and Ilyas (Caner Topcu), fighting high tides and the secrets of the seas. It focuses on their pursuit of a holy secret with the help of Master Suleyman, and during the course of their journey, they make enemies in, Pietro (Yigit Özsener), the Pope's hand reaching out to the Mediterranean who is also pursuing the secret and organizes an attack against their ship. But this doesn't stop the brothers and they continue their original quest to find the holy secret all the while fighting their enemies at high tides.

  1. I wonder if Netflix will buy it. It has acquired most Turkish period drama.

    1. Then it might, but this one is quite old, two years or more.

  2. I'll pass on this, but I do think it must have been good for them to put out over 100 episodes.

  4. It's not something for me either. BARBAROSSA sounds quite German to me.
