WINTER PALACE
SWISS HIGH END TV SERIES
After South America yesterday, we are flying today over to Swiss Alps where we have a series pitch that will also be presented at Conecta Fiction and
Entertainment festival in Spain - WINTER PALACE from Swiss Radio and Television and Lindsay Shapero. The Swiss Alps, 1899. André Morel, an ambitious Swiss hotelier, has a daring vision:
a five star hotel that will stay open throughout the winter season. It’s never been
done before. Can his risky idea survive extreme weather, untrained staff and
demanding guests? This eight part series, inspired by real events, depicts the
birth of White Winter holidays. It combines a lavish period drama with compelling,
character driven stories full of hidden desires, ambition and love, alongside ashes
of modern music for a contemporary twist. Shapero previously wrote Judi Dench's Red Joan.

Hotel biz and Swiss go hand in hand ... this should be an entertaining one.
ReplyDeleteEspecially with a good cast.
DeleteThe Gran Hotel trope is doing well . We are getting Hotel Portofino, the Germans are making something about a hotel during the Weimar Years, and now the Swiss. I'm always game for beautiful scenery and comfortable lodgings.
ReplyDeleteI think the German series is either dead or already shot and aired as a film, I am not sure. I was not successful in my previous efforts to find out. But we can expect that show about a prewar department store.
Deletei also tried and it sees they shelved the project how sad. It looked good
DeleteIt is very difficult to spy it out, Germans and Spaniards are sometimes very difficult for me when it comes to spying business, and I've spied even on Mongols and Kazakhstani market LOL
DeleteI'm really into Winter Palace! My unpopular opinion is that a Winter vacation beats a Summer one.
ReplyDeleteI'd always do a winter vacation, never a summer one.
DeleteFor once, I’m on opposite ends with Jax. Keep me far away from the freaking snow and cold. My favorite time to travel is Autumn though. Not too hot, not too cold, and another Nature’s colors never disappoint.
ReplyDeleteWe do love Fall most of all as we have agreed many times before.
