FOR NEW BBC ONE SERIES
During the weekend, BBC One issued a trailer for their new three part drama THE CONTROL ROOM which tells the story of Gabe (Iain De Caestecker), an ordinary man who works as an emergency call handler for Ambulance Service in Glasgow. His world is turned upside down when he receives a desperate life-and-death call from a distressed woman who appears to know him. With Gabe under pressure to work out who she is, he makes a decision that threatens to have devastating consequences. It will stream on iPlayer too and on BBC this July.
I really enjoy the British mini series. We actually just finished You Don't Know Me yesterday...this one sounds good too.
ReplyDeleteThey are always better than the American ones indeed.
DeleteSo, Netflix is building a strong library for the Autumn Season. Barbarians is coming; 1899 is coming; I don’t know if you heard but The Empress begins September 29th. This is not Netflix, but among the vignettes that Starz is pushing for the Fall season are images of The Serpent Queen, so it is finished and it’s coming this year
ReplyDeleteWhere did you hear about the Empress? Do we have an article about it somewhere? Admittedly I am one of the first ones to mention Barbarians and this teaser myself. I have to search for Serpent Queen images.
DeleteoOOH, found the Empress trailer, will post it tomorrow! Cannot find anything on Serpent Queen, though.
DeleteI got the info in the TV Euro Place They had a German trailer. I left you the link in Messenger. Sorry fr the delay. I got the booster two weeks ago and still feeling the effects. Spend the days in bed. The S. Queen is a different story. No date, no trailer nothing, but the fact that Starz had moving images and the opening, means they are ready to launch it.
DeleteI know about EuroPlace, I don't visit it daily as they don't post often, but I do drop them a visit a few times a month, sometimes one can dig out nice stuff there.
DeleteSorry to hear about the booster. You need some immunomodulator after that, if not AHCC then something similar. Hope the friends will now take you out for a walk.

DeleteI feel so rotten I don’t want to go anywhere, and I still have to go down and do the laundry. I come to Hollywood Spy every day, but I visit the Euro TV Place once a week. As you noticed they don’t update much, and their aim is to let the American public know what’s coming in their direction. At the end of the month, they post a calendar of all European coming attractions. Within the website they have separate spaces for British and Australian coming attractions. It’s very useful, but it’s a one-month thing. I wish there were more places devoted to European productions, not only news but some serious criticism. For example, I would like to know the TV ratings for some countries. Most of the time, I have to rely on foreign Wikipediaes.
DeleteI know, I've been visiting them for years and don't know why they don't have a Facebook or Twitter page for easier updates following. A lot of those European movie and TV sites are more artsy than commercial and can be really boring sometimes, so sometimes they do infest my Twitter, but from time to time one does find a gem there or two.
DeleteThe Control Room looks good! I hope he figures out who she is and saves her life.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for him!
DeleteThe Control Room sounds like it could be intense.
ReplyDeleteTotally!
DeleteThe Control Room looks like a nail biter, for sure! Might save that one for when I need a little more stress in my life LOL
ReplyDeleteSounds very dynamic indeed.
