WESTWORLD FINAL SEASON
JAMES MARSDEN TO RETURN
Believe it or not, it has been two freaking years since the third season of WESTWORLD aired and we are finally getting the fourth and the final season June
26th on HBO. You can check out the poster and the trailer for the season that will also see the return of fan favourite James Marsden alongside Evan Rachel Wood whose character Dolores did die but she will be back as some totally other person who apparently has a boyfriend who looks the same as Dolores' boyfriend played in the first season by Marsden. Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright and Luke Hemsworth all return alongside Aaron Paul who was pretty much the lead of the third season. Not much is known about the plot of the final season except that it will be a dark odyssey about the fate of sentient life on earth!

1899 TEASER TRAILER
FOR NEW NETFLIX SERIES
Ahead of its Autumn release, Netflix has released a teaser trailer for their six part period set horror series 1899 which revolves around a migrant steamship heading west to leave the old continent from London to New York. The passengers, a mixed bag of European origins, are united by their hopes and dreams for the new century and their future abroad. When they discover another migrant ship adrift on open sea, their journey takes an unexpected turn. What they find on board will turn their passage to the promised land into a horrifying nightmare.
THE SANDMAN TEASER
AND AUGUST START DATE
Netflix has also announced August 5th as the start date for their fantasy series THE SANDMAN! There is another world that waits for all of us when we close our eyes and sleep — a place called the Dreaming, where The
Sandman, Master of Dreams (Tom Sturri- dge), gives shape to all of our deepest fears and fantasies. But when Dream is unexpec- tedly captured and held prisoner for a century, his absence sets off a series of events that will change both the dreaming and waking worlds forever. To restore order, Dream must journey across different worlds and timelines to mend the mistakes he’s made during his vast existence, revisiting old friends and foes, and meeting new entities, both cosmic and human, along the way.
The Sandman will arrive this August to Netflix |
I just added The Sandman to the list of things I want to check out on Netflix.
ReplyDeleteShould be very epic judging by the trailer, I will probably do a spotlight on it as some point. There are tons of very dark programmes coming to Netflix, you should visit their YouTube page to see the trailers that were released yesterday.
DeleteLooking forward to 1899, but bracing for a possible disappointment. I hated Dark
ReplyDeleteHope it will be more spooky than bloody, but judging by the rest of the trailers that Netflix has released yesterday in their GeekdWeek, it seems they will bombard us with tones of new extremely bloody horror shows. It is almost as if Netflix is sponsored by satanists.
DeleteDitto!
DeleteWhy must a dream world only have creepy stuff?
ReplyDeleteIt is sick how they are trying to glamourize all that is dark, violent and sick. Netflix is leading with that, they have more than ten very violent and dark shows coming up. After Squid Game they are poisoning the world with such filth.
DeleteAnd we keep on paying for all this content that is both violent and dull. My fear for 1899 is that the characters turn out to be so infuriating that, as it happened with Dark, I have to give it up to preserve my sanity. Not only does Netflix makes monstrosities. It never buys good stuff. I can’t blame the Beauty Queen’s mediocrity and mendacity on them, but they bought it.
DeleteIt is quite shocking, I was stunned yesterday during the presentation of their upcoming shows, that almost all of them are morbid horrors, as if Satanists are paying Netflix to intoxicate people around the world with such dangerous garbage.
DeleteThe Sandman sounds like one I'll be interested in tuning into. Thankfully we haven't cancelled Netflix yet, but we're getting really close because of all the price hikes and crappy programs they give us.
ReplyDeleteTheir programme has been terrible since February or March, methinks, and it does not look like they will improve much any time soon. It seems like they are streaming programmes just for pubescent teens and similar horrid creatures.
DeleteI feel like there hasn't been anything to watch on there in over a year. We've been using Hulu and Paramount most these days. Amazon has been downhill as well it seems as I don't think I've even logged into their streaming service in months.
DeleteIt is terrible, one of these days someone will have to invent one unique streamer which will have programmes from all streamers together and they can share the monies among themselves, because people will be fed up with having so many separate streamers to pay for not much good shows.
DeleteIt's like how iTunes did with the music industry. Everyone was sick of paying for a whole album when there was only one or two good songs on it. It was nice when we could sign up for streaming of most music no matter who it came from for one low monthly price.
DeleteSomething will have to change.
DeleteSo, James Marsden is on my long list of celebrity boyfriends. His smile is contagious! But, he did age out of nowhere and not gracefully at all. Similar to our Sam Claflin.
ReplyDeleteHe has? I haven't seen him lately, but he looked nice in the previous seasons of Westworld. Rodrigo Santoro and Anson Mount also aged noticeably. We are suddenly all in our freaking 40s.
DeleteWe watched Sonic 2 this weekend, and it's noticeable. Still handsome, though. ;)
DeleteHe probably always will be :)
