  2. You know I don't love sci fi, but I might try this one. And after you mentioned it, I forgot all about Greatest Showman. I never watched that one and really need to. Allison's old boyfriend loved that movie and always made her watch it, so I'll have to do it when she's not home, lest I trigger some bad memories for her LOL

    1. It was a really nice musical, I don't remember a musical with so many great songs, in most musicals songs are usually boring but these were like pop hits and very catchy, all of them, and so many of them have become legendary from This is Me and Never Enough to Greatest Showman and Rewrite the Stars. That and Moulin Rouge are just two unbeatable cult classic for me.

    2. I loved Moulin Rouge, too. I do listen to some of the songs for Showman every once in a while since I saved some on my playlist. The music really is fantastic.

    4. You haven't seen The Greatest Showman? You must! Or, at least listen to the album. :)

    5. Sometimes I just can't sleep LOL.
I know, I can't believe I haven't seen it either. Just so much going on and no time to sit and watch movies apparently.

    6. I slept better tonight as it was cold as promised, loved it! Should be 13^C tonight as well and I will sleep with opened windows LOL

    7. Glad to hear there was a break in the temps for you!

    8. Not for long, it should be back to summer heat in a day or two, but I will be OK if the nights stay cold, I like taking a walk at about 8.30PM when the temps are below 17^C or even lower and I can put on my winter vest in the middle of August LOL

    9. For once I'm actually craving the colder temps. I'm just feeling miserable with this heat for some reason this summer. Been having chest pains a lot lately, too. Going to have my ticker checked out on Tuesday. Hopefully I don't have a heart attack before then LOL.

    10. Geezuz, you can't have it before I do LOL If you do have heart problems try to introduce food and herbs which are good for it into your diet. I've taken biodihydroquerzetin pills this summer from Russia, and I'm also taking honey with cinnamon and cordyceps shrooms. Black hawthorn is also good if you have it.

    11. I've always eaten heart healthy, especially after going veg. I try to make sure I'm eating antioxidant rich foods, lots of veggies, but I do have a small weakness for Irish butter. Not enough for heart problems, but it's probably not helping either. It's common for women with one inflammatory condition to develop inflammation in the heart as well, so I'm not surprised I'm having issues now. Just my luck, it's probably freakin covid. (Though I have no cough, loss of taste or smell or any other symptoms. I'm still getting tested anyway just to be sure).

    12. We'll expect an update! I don't think I got any issues from covid because I attacked it so wisely with my pills and remedies, I left some AHCC pills and those Russian ones for Autumn when the new wave strucks us again. You should defo try AHCC too as it is good for cancer and everything else in the body.

    13. I will definitely get AHCC! And I'll keep you updated. Fingers crossed Covid doesn't strike your area hard this year. I am so freakin over this virus!

    14. Oh, it already has, they expect that from 1,500 daily we will jump to 3000 a day next week.

  3. Normally I say no the second I hear science fiction, but this one seems OK and I'm a fan of the cast.

I also wanted to circle back about the movie The Tomorrow War that you posted about. We ended up watching it last night. While it did give me serious anxiety as I suspected, I must admit that Chris Pratt didn't ruin the movie. Quite the opposite, actually. Maybe I need to get the obnoxious Parks & Rec character that he played out of my head!

    1. He had really bad moments in it, like when he has to depict emotions, but he is such a charmer generally that I did not mind it much. I liked the movie, it was action packed and better than Gerard Butler's Greenland which I watched last night finally.

    2. While I do find Gerard much hunkier than Chris Pratt, I agree with you on the film. Greenland did nothing but give me nightmares. I still can't think about the movie with ease. The Tomorrow War at least had a real story behind it and offered a satisfying end.

    3. Yes, those airport scenes reminded me of what is going on now in poor Afganistan!

  4. Never really liked Hugh Jackman, just not into the X-Man or whatever 🤷‍♂️

I did learn to tolerate him in that Allison Janney movie, though 😏

    1. Blasphemy! How could you not like Hugh??? He is the most loveable person on Earth. I have never really connected him with X Man, but I guess you Americans only watch super hero flicks and not much else.

  5. Hugh Jackman... excellent actor, though I couldn't care less about that last Wolverine movie.

    How's life?
