EMILY BLUNT TO PLAY FIRST FEMALE DETECTIVE IN A NEW FILM ON KATE WARNE! FIRST FLORENCE PUGH PHOTO FROM THE WONDER PERIOD SET DRAMA

  EMILY BLUNT TO PLAY
FIRST FEMALE DETECTIVE
Emily Blunt will lead the untitled movie
While we are waiting for her new period set TV series English for BBC, Emily Blunt will continue wearing 19th century gowns as she is to lead Amazon Studio's film on Kate Warne, the first woman to become a detective at the Pinkerton Agency! Her Jungle Cruise co star Dwayne Johnson is producing this propulsive action adventure built around Warne, a real life female Sherlock Holmes in a male dominated industry whose singular sleuthing skills paved the way for future women in law enforcement and forever changed how detective work was done. She was responsible for uncovering the 1861 Baltimore Plot to assassinate president-elect Abraham Lincoln! Gustin Nash is penning the script currently.
