'THE DARK AGE' SF SAGA
A WORLD WITHOUT ANY METAL!
Armory Films and Knightfall co-creator Don Handfield will turn THE DARK AGE, a sf comic book series to be published by Red 5 Comics, into TV series about the collapse of contemporary civilization in the wake of
mysterious calamity that transmutes every piece of workable metal on earth (tools, vehicles, guns, circuits, girders, etc.) into crumbling piles of rusted dust. Staggered by the loss of technology, humanity plunges into chaos until a violent feudal system takes shape and the surviving pockets of civilization are dominated by knights who wield weapons of wood and plastic. The story begins with Ethen Riker, an archaeology professor, his pregnant wife, Helen and his daughter Jonnie, enjoying a quiet lunch at a campus cafe. When his stirring spoon, then the table, then the metal foundations of the building itself suddenly crumble, Ethen rushes his family outside to witness the world quite literally coming to end. We flash forward thirteen years post-metal as he struggles to protect his family in this new paleo-plastic world and unravel the dark mystery of why metal disappeared.
|The Dark Age is yet to be released as comics|
Great cast for 1917 but The Dark Age sounds excellent!ReplyDelete
isn't it very intriguing?Delete
Cinema Industry constantly reminds us of the two world wars. Now, they introduce some good-looking, talented men to play soldiers in WW1. Hopefully, these soldiers manage to stay alive by the end of the movie.ReplyDelete
Admittedly, men were very handsome back then, and also much better behaved and disciplined than today's brats. They probably all turn in their graves seeing what the world they freed has turned into today :(Delete
"1917" sounds like a worthy enterprise! And only fitting to commemorate WW1 now, one hundred years later.ReplyDelete
I expected more films on it last year, but no luck there ;(Delete
1917 could be interesting - tho I'm not big into war movies. The cast might draw me in though.ReplyDelete
It is such a grand cast indeed!Delete
Can we get rid of Heavy Metal too. I've never enjoyed that music and think my own little world would be so much better without its existence.ReplyDelete
I've never listened to it, it is for Satanists :) Sadly, I think a heavy mental song will win this year's Eurosong, the song from Iceland, it gives me creeps.Delete
I haven't heard that one, I don't think. But I usually turn it off when I get the first whiff of heavy metal sounding music.Delete
I am not sure about 1917 but the Dark Age really draws me in!ReplyDelete
It is such an intriguing plot, isn't it?Delete
