whom she must unexpectedly play nursemaid. It is interesting that the family of Mary Anning does not support the film as they say the lesbian aspect of it is based on lies and is purely invented for the purpose of the big screen.
I like your 'today's offer'.ReplyDelete
Singapore (past and present) and Charles Dance, both interest me.
Regarding Singapore - I wrote a post in April 2017 entitled Singapore - city, island, country?
The movie Ammonite will not only enchant us with the acting of two talented actresses, but will probably throw some light on the scientific discoveries of the fossil hunter, Marie Anning.
You've been to Singapore?Delete
I wouldn't exactly call Saoirse talented, Kate absolutely, but Ronan no.
twould be funny if it wasn't sad, Fran, how overrated some actors are these days...Delete
Glad to hear it, JackyDelete
Looks like a much different role for Kate Winslet. She's a good actor, so I'm sure she'll do a great job.ReplyDelete
I bet she willDelete
I didn't know the famous Mary Anning was a lesbian! Woo hoo!ReplyDelete
you knew, but you forgot :) I told you last year, remember?Delete
Well, I'm getting old now, Dez, and the memory's going.Delete
Whaaat? I thought you was 40!Delete
I always love seeing the roles Kate chooses. She is one of the few actresses that I think can pull off many different types of characters just as believable as they are flawless. I am sure she'll be wonderful in Ammonite.ReplyDelete
That luke Newberry has huge eyes.ReplyDelete
he is so cute especially with beard!Delete
