When an Interpol issued Red Notice - the highest level warrant to hunt and capture the world's most wanted- goes out, the FBI's top profiler John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) is on the case. His global pursuit finds him smack dab in the middle of a daring heist where he's forced to partner with the world's greatest art thief Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) in order to catch the world's most wanted art thief, 'The Bishop' (Gal Gadot). In the end SCANDAR AND THE UNICORN THIEF was bought by Simon and Schuster for a seven digit sum and will be published next April written by A.F. Steadman. Now Sony Pictures has set Jon Croker to adapt the novel series which  follows a thirteen year old boy whose dreams of becoming a unicorn rider are disrupted when an emerging enemy steals the land’s most powerful unicorn. It was the biggest known deal for a children's debut book.

Although Ridley Scott was supposed to return to the medieval world after his Last Duel (which is currently proving to be a major flop in cinemas most probably for the worst casting the world has even seen outside the latest Dune snoozefest) he will be replaced by Michael Matthews (Love and Monsters) as Disney has hired him to helm their MERLIN movie, based on T. A. Barron's book series.  As Deadline reports, the film, which is in very early stages of production, will follow the origin story of a young Merlin who would go on to become the mentor of the classic literary character King Arthur.
