WES BENTLEY & AMANDA SEYFRIED IN "GONE". NEW SF FILMS "PACIFIC RIM" AND "THE RUNNER". ABC'S HEARTWARMING NEW SHOW "HALLELUJAH". JEFFREY DONOVAN JOINS JUDI DENCH IN "J.EDGAR"

Here's an interesting cast in a not so interesting film: according to "Playlist" Wes Bentley has just joined Amanda Seyfried in GONE, a thriller about a woman named Jill who returns home from her night shift to find her sister’s bed empty. She’s convinced the serial killer who kidnapped her two years before has come back to finish the job. But the police do not believe her and Jill knows time is running out. With no one to turn to, Jill sets off to find her sister and face her abductor once and for all.

SHORT HEADLINES Walt Disney and Marc Forster (THE QUANTUM OF SOLACE) are planning to shoot THE RUNNER, a sf thriller about a man in 2027 who is sent back in time to stop an

attack that will make Earth  uninhabitable. Beside saving the planet he also wants to save the love of his life. *Before he shoots AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS, with the budget of $150 million, Guillermo Del Toro will direct PACIFIC RIM, a film set in a future in which malevolent creatures threaten the earth, the planet must band together and use highly advanced technology to eradicate the growing menace. *Super charismatic Jeffrey Donovan (BURN NOTICE) has joined Clint Eastwood's J. EDGAR biopic which already features Leonardo De Caprio, Judi Dench and young Armie Hammer. He will play Robert Kennedy. *Sf film DOOM which starred Dwayne Johnson and Karl Urban back in 2005 will get a reboot.

Now here's something that seems like a heartwarming new show: According to "Hollywood Reporter" ABC is preparing a charming and magical new pilot called HALLELUJAH.  The story will revolve around  a stranger who comes to the small town of Hallelujah to bring justice, peace and restore the faith in the world the residents of the troubled town desperately need. Apparently the show will also feature songs sung by a gospel choir in each episode :). The cast already includes young Arielle Kebbel and Frances O'Connor.

RUPERT PENRY JONES IN "MANOR HUNT BALL"! "TOMB RAIDER" WILL CONTINUE. MARVEL PLANNING "INHUMANS" FILM. HILARIOUS "THE SMURFS" POSTER

Our dear Rupert Penry Jones, who won a number of polls at HOLLYWOOD SPY, is going to star in an unusual British film called MANOR HUNT BALL in which a gang of local youths crash a high-class party at a country manor where they discover that the modern gentry are now hunting people instead of foxes. Running for their lives the gang must find a means of escape before they are picked off one by one. This mix of action, thriller and horror will also star Sean Pertwee (EVENT HORIZONT, EQUILIBRIUM, CAMELOT), music star Plan B (HARRY BROWN),  and possibly Anna Friel, Brenda Blethyn (ATONEMENT, SAVING GRACE) and Matthew Macfayden (ROBIN HOOD, THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH).

SHORT HEADLINES Some time ago, I've mentioned that Olivia Wilde might play Lara Croft in a possible new film, and now it seems that TOMB RAIDER saga will really continue. According to "Variety" the rights have just been purchased, and the reboot of the story is expected to appear in cinemas in 2013. *Today, you can also check out a new, Italian, and a bit bizarre, poster for THE SMURFS which are premiering this August with little blue cuties being lost in the middle of New York. *According to "Beyond Hollywood" Marvel is planning to film INHUMANS, a film about aliens who were put on Earth as sleeper cell aliens to eventually call back their race to take over the planet. Ultimately, the group of aliens fully assimilates and don’t want to cause war.

Although we are all super happy that Henry Cavill got the role of SUPERMAN in Zack Snyder's reboot of the Man of Steel story, you do remember that hunky Joe Manganiello from TRUE BLOOD was actually the first choice for the role. "MovieWeb" has tried to reveal what went wrong with his casting, and it seems that the only reason Manganiello didn't get the role was the fact that he didn't have the time to go to Warner Bross. and do the screen testing in costume, since he was busy shooting new episodes for TRUE BLOOD. Quite a strange choice - choosing a not so popular show over a life changing movie role.

"BATTLESTAR GALACTICA" CAST TO REJOIN IN NBC'S "17TH PRECINCT"! AMAZING NEW POSTER FOR PAUL BETTANY'S SF EPIC "PRIEST"! ANTHONY HOPKINS AS A VILLAIN IN "JAMES BOND". CHRISTOPHER EGAN & TABRETT BETHELL IN ABC'S "POE"

Now, this is quite unusual: three stars from BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and one of the producers will rejoin in a new Fall show on NBC. 17TH PRECINCT will be a supernatural police procedural, with James Callis playing a homicide detective and Jamie Bamber playing a crime scene expert. Tricia Helfer

will play a coroner who has expertise in black magic, spell casting, and potions. The police in the series will relay more so on magic than they will on detective work and technology. The cast will also include amazing Stockard Channing and young Matt Long.

SHORT HEADLINES *Legendary actress Anjelica Huston has joined Debra Messing, Katherine McPhee and Jack Davenport in  NBC's new musical show SMASH in which she will play a Broadway producer who is both classy and shrewd. *You won't discover HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER for two more years, since the popular sitcom has just been renewed for two more seasons. *According to new rumors JAMES BOND 23 might get legendary actor Anthony Hopkins as the main villain.

*ABC's upcoming new show POE has just got itself two breathtaking actors: Tabrett Bethell (Cara from LEGEND OF THE SEEKER, probably the most beautiful woman on Earth) and Christopher Egan will take the lead roles in the show set in 1840s Boston in which the famous writer will also solve crimes. Egan will be Poe and Tabrett will be his main muse.

HBO'S EPIC FANTASY SHOW OF THE YEAR "GAME OF THRONES" STARTS THIS APRIL WITH SEAN BEAN, LENA HEADEY, MARK ADDY ...

With the show's premiere this April 17th, HBO has released a brand new trailer for the extremely expensive and spectacular epic series GAME OF THRONES and some new posters and images. This television adaptation of the famous epic fantasy saga A SONG OF

ICE AND FIRE by George R. R. Martin, chronicling the violent dynastic struggles among noble families for control of the Iron Throne of the land of Westeros, will probably cover one book in one season starring Sean Bean, Jason Momoa, Mark Addy, Lena Headey and many other actors!

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun. It will stretch from the south where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an

800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men…all will play the GAME OF THRONES.

Here's the official plot of the show: Seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros. Political and sexual intrigue abound. The primary families are the Stark, Lannister, and Baratheon families. Robert Baratheon, King of Westeros, asks his old friend Eddard Stark to serve as his chief advisor. Eddard, suspecting that his predecessor had been murdered, accepts so that he can investigate further. It turns out more than one family is plotting to take the throne. The Queen's family, the Lannisters, may be hatching a plot to take control.

Across the sea, the last surviving members of the previously deposed ruling family, the Targaryens, are also plotting a return to power. The conflict between these families and others, including the Greyjoys, the Tullys, the Arryns, and the Tyrells, leads to war. Meanwhile, in the north, an ancient evil awakens. Amidst war and the political confusion, a brotherhood of misfits, The Night's Watch, is all that stands between the realms of men and the horrors beyond.

And PS don't forget to visit MELISSA'S IMAGINARIUM, the home of my darling Melissa Bradley, one of the knights of Dezmond's round table ;) She's already written tones of books, but her latest work BYZANTINE PROVOCATEUR has just been published this weekend. But Arthur's cold

and ambitious half sister Morgan (Eva Green) will fight him to the bitter end, summoning unnatural forces to claim the crown in this epic battle for control. Something that will surely bring us lots of fun is PUSS IN BOOTS, the SHREK spin-off focusing on our favourite Puss, which "took nine lives in making" :). The film which premieres this November has just got its first trailer and it's indescribably adorable. The hilarious animated film will tell the hilarious and courageous tale of Puss's (magnificent voice of Antonio Banderas) early adventures as he teams with mastermind Humpty Dumpty and the street-savvy Kitty  to steal the famed Goose that lays the Golden Eggs. HOLLYWOOD SPY'S READERS SAY JAMES PUREFOY SHOULD BE THE NEXT JAMES BOND! NEW POLL: BEST FOREIGNERS IN HOLLYWOOD

Our poll is over and you say that James Purefoy SHOULD BE THE NEXT JAMES BOND. You gave him 35% of votes, which either means you like him a lot or the poll has been hi-jacked by his fans :) Matthew Goode took second place with 23% of votes while Hugh Jackman finished third (15%)

James Purefoy is one of those actors who were simply born to play charming bad boys and elegant but naughty heroes. He always shines in period movies and epics: "George and the Dragon", "Vanity Fair", "Blackbeard", "Solomon Kane", "A Knight's Tale" are just few of his films from that genre which presented him as a dashing knight or a seductive hero, but we all remember him best as Mark Antony in the legendary TV series "Rome"

which was the role of his life, at least for now. In the future we shall watch him in some equally heroic and wonderful roles: he will be a brave knight in medieval epic "Ironclad", king Lot in STARZ epic series "Camelot", Cantos Kan, the captain of the Xavarian, the kingdom of Helium's grand warship in the upcoming space opera "John Carter of Mars" (I'm literally dying to see that one), brave lord Somerset in "Heaven and Earth"... He is still a candidate for James Bond for which he already auditioned back in the time of "Goldeneye" but lost the role to Pierce Brosnan.

Now let us move to our next poll. Are you in the mood for choosing BEST FOREIGNER IN HOLLYWOOD? There are so many lovely non-English actors working in Tinseltown, so who do you like best? This will be just the first part, so if you have some

favourites please write it bellow in the comments and I might add them in part two or three of this poll this March. The first round includes: French hunk Vincent Cassel(BLACK SWAN, OCEAN'S TWELVE, ELIZABETH, IRREVERSIBLE), French thespian Juliette Binoche (CHOCOLAT, BREAKING AND ENTERING, THE ENGLISH PATIENT), Nordic God Alexander Skarsgard (TRUE BLOOD, BATTLESHIP), French epitome of gorgeousness Emmanuelle Beart (8 WOMEN, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE), Brazilian heartbreaker Rodrigo Santoro (300, LOST, LOVE ACTUALLY), Scandinavian hunkViggo Mortensen (LORD OF THE RINGS, THE ROAD, HIDALGO), Italian vixen and Vincent Cassel's wife Monica Bellucci (MATRIX, THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE) and Spanish stud Antonio Banderas (ZORO, SHREK, THE 13TH WARRIOR). You can vote next two weeks as much as you like :)
