ANNE HATHAWAY, AUSTIN STOWELL, TIM BLAKE NELSON IN 'COLOSSAL' MONSTER MOVIE! NEW 'DANISH GIRLS' TRAILER SHOWS EDDIE REDMAYNE'S TRANSFORMATION

ANNE HATHAWAY TO LEAD 

'COLOSSAL WITH AUSTIN STOWELL AND TIM BLAKE NELSON

Now here's a cast that has been quickly rounding up lately: Anne Hathaway's monster action (I'm not joking) movie COLOSSAL has added Tim Blake Nelson and Austin Stowell. Anne Hathaway will portray a woman who moves back to her hometown after losing her job and boyfriend, only to discover that she is somehow strangely connected to a giant lizard monster that materialized over Tokyo and is wreaking havoc on that city. Austin Stowell will play Hathaway's love interest, while Blake Nelson will portray a character named Garth, who has a drug problem that he doesn’t do a particularly good job of hiding.

Tim Blake Nelson has recently stepped into the helmer's seat and directed Christina Ricci in ZELDA Amazon series while Austin Stowell is playing a pilot in this week's released Spielberg's movie BRIDGE OF SPIES and is starring in TNT's PUBLIC MORALS. Hathaway has finished ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS in which she plays the White Queen and is also starring in THE BURNING WOMAN as a young woman whose teen daughter vanishes and she has to raise her infant grandson herself.

In the trailer department today, the second trailer for Eddie Redmayne's DANISH GIRL has been released showing his transformation from painter Einar Wegener into a woman, after becoming the first person ever to undergo sex change operation. Starring next to Alicia Vikander and Ben Whishaw, Redmayne could become Oscar winner two years in a row!

A visual feast for you today coming in the form of gorgeous, Annie Leibovitz shot, photos of Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander in the Tom Hooper helmed visually stunning  drama THE DANISH GIRL on one of the first sex change patients also starring Ben Whishaw and Matthias Schoenaerts. The movie is out this November filled with Oscar winners since beside Hooper and Redmayne, the cast also includes Oscar winning composer Alexandre Desplat!

In early 1920s Copenhagen, the illustrator and artist Gerda Wegener (Alicia Vikander) asks her husband, Einar Wegener (Eddie Redmayne), to stand in for a female model. The popularity of the portraits leads to Gerda painting her husband in further pictures as a woman. Einar develops an attraction for a female physical appearance and begins living as a woman named Lili Elbe. Ultimately Elbe becomes the first ever recipient of male to female sex reassignment surgery, and Gerda supports her decision, although their marriage becomes strained when Gerda comes to the realization that Lili is no longer the person she married. A childhood friend of Lili, Hans Axgil (Matthias Schoenaerts), shows up and forms a complex love triangle with the couple.

You can also check out the first trailer for critically acclaimed drama MEADOWLAND in which Olivia Wilde gives a haunting performance alongside Luke Wilson, Elizabeth Moss and Giovanni Ribisi. Phil starts to lose sight of his morals; Sarah takes off on a potentially disastrous journey, falling deeper into her own fever dream.

Three trailers for you today, the first being the one for Tom Hooper's drama THE DANISH GIRL in which Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne (could easily get it next year too) plays artist Lili, previously known as Einar Wegener, who became one of the world's first known recipients of gender transformation surgery in 1930. The movie, which will arrive into US cinemas at the end of November and around Europe in January, also stars Alicia Vikander who portrays the artist's wife Gerda Wegener, with Amber Heard, Matthias Schoenaerts and Ben Whishaw also in the cast!

'RISEN' EPIC TRAILER

 The second trailer for today is also the second one for historical thriller set in the Roman age RISEN  which is out next January,  Biblical story of the Resurrection, as told through the eyes of a non-believer. Clavius  (Joseph Fiennes), a powerful Roman Military Tribune, and his aide Lucius (Tom Felton), are tasked with solving the mystery of what happened to Jesus in the weeks following the crucifixion, in order to disprove the rumours of a risen Messiah and prevent an uprising in Jerusalem. Kevin Reynolds (WATER WORLD, TRISTAN AND ISOLDE, ROBIN HOOD) directs.

'THE 5TH WAVE' SF TRAILER
