CASANOVA IN RUSSIA
LAVISH NEW RUSSIAN TV SAGA
New show started airing last week |
It is a twelve episode historical series |
LOVE IN RUSSIA
Set in imperial Russia, during the rule of Tzarina Catherine the Great, in 1764-1765, the lavishly expensive 12 part series follows the great Venetian lover Giacomo Casanova during his stay in Russia, filled with conspiracies, intrigues, insidious murders and fatal passions. It is an adventure in the spirit of the Three Musketeers, only on the banks of the Neva, not the Seine. In the centre of the plot is the story of how Casanova, sent to Russia with the plan to infiltrate Catherine the Great's court as a Vatican spy, got carried away by a female serf peasant on the banks of the Neva, so much that he went to extreme lengths to buy her. That accidental meeting will make history's most famous womaniser and seducer believe that a life could be spent next to just one woman. Beside being the famous lover, Casanova was also one of the most educated people of that time, he translated legendary Iliad and co wrote the libretto for Mozart's opera Don Giovanni. A friendship with famous Voltaire also left a great impact on that, less known, side of his life. Produced by Favorit Film and Brothers Chizhikov, the saga also stars Maria Skuratova as Casanova's love interest, Mariyana Spivak as Catherine the Great and our dear Ilya Malakov (from Furious or Kolovrat) as her general and lover Potemkin!

The diseases he spread! lol
ReplyDeleteMaybe he was protecting himself LOL
DeleteHe does look manly and handsome!
ReplyDeleteHe is one of our more popular actors, married to one of our pop stars.
DeleteThese Costumes and Handsome actor combination looks great. I like it.
ReplyDeleteHope it airs in your country at some point.
DeleteThey picked a very handsome actor for the part! Darling, if you have such hot men in your country, however do you find the time to be online? I’d be sitting at the window oogling them all day.
ReplyDeleteThey are all in Novi Sad or Belgrade. This post created quite a buzz over at Twitter and ladies are asking me who is he, who is he.... I always thought he was gay until he married one of our pop stars. I still do, though LOL
DeleteMethinks you need to move to Novi Sad or Belgrade then. Get your hands on one of these hot little numbers and have him toss you around a room for a few hours 🫣 Dahlink, most everyone is gay these days. Tell him to ditch that pop tart and end the charade!
DeleteNot in my country, here they beat gays up in the streets. The only man who came out publicly here and was the first public gay had to seek asylum in Canada and now lives there.
