If you like the beginning of your year spiced up with some good old sf you will be happy to hear that Stargate's Dean Devlin is back on the telly from February with new twelve episode series THE ARK which will air on SyFy also produced by Jonathan Glassner. The cast is led by Christie Burke, Richard Fleeshman, Reece Ritchie, Stacey Read, and Ryan Adams. You can also check out a very short teaser for the new series below and tell us what you think.
THE STORY OF THE ARK
takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race. The first of these missions on a spacecraft known as Ark One encounters a catastrophic event causing massive destruction and loss of life. With more than a year left to go before reaching their target planet, a lack of life-sustaining supplies, and loss of leadership, the remaining crew must become the best versions of themselves to stay on course and survive.

Gotta show this to my husband who is a SF fan.
ReplyDeleteHope it will be nice as sf is quite dead and needs reviving. I used to watch a lot of series from SyFy now I haven't for years.
DeleteOh I will have to check this out. I love a good space type series or movie.
ReplyDeleteWe need to escape Earth sometimes, at least through space series.
DeleteUnfortunately, this one is not for me. But it may just be what the sci-fi community needs to get a jumpstart on reviving the genre.
ReplyDeleteI am doubtful, it will probably be cheapass, but we cannot be picky these days.
