 STRANGE NEW WORLDS
STAR TREK STARTS THIS WEEK
The series arrives May 5th to Paramount +
New STAR TREK series STRANGE NEW WORLDS has got a launch date of May 5th over at Paramount + and the slightly changed opening sequence will see us hear captain Christopher Pike saying "Space, the final frontier! These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before!" It is interesting that the series has already been renewed for a second season with Paul Wesley announced as Captain Kirk in it. It will follow episodic adventures of the Enterprise’s original crew long before James T. Kirk was captain. Anson Mount, Rebecca Romjin, and Ethan Peck will be returning as Captain Pike, Number One, and science officer Spock! Celia Rose Gooding will play cadet Uhura who speaks 37 languages, Babs Olasanmokun will play Dr. M’Benga, and Jess Bush will play nurse Christine Chapel; new characters on the bridge include Christina Chong as La'an Noonien-Singh ship's chief of security, Melissa Navia as lieutenant Erica Ortegas their pilot and helmsman, and Bruce Horak as Hemmer the
First season will have ten episodes
Andorian, the engineer who cannot see but his other senses are super strong.
 WHERE TO WATCH IT?
With other series in the franchise, Discovery and Picard proving a disappointment with the fans, the audience is having high hopes for this one which will have episodic stories rather than having a seasonal plot. That is something that we haven't seen in 17 years ever since Enterprise  finished. The first season will have ten episodes with a new one launching every Thursday. It will also stream on Crave in Canada, Voot in India, TVNZ in New Zealand, with Paramount + airing it in USA, Latin America, Nordics and Australia. Paramount launches in UK this June too. 1. The leading trio yes, the rest of the crew not so much, they seem woke to me, but I love Anson and Romijn too much to let this one go. I did hate Picard, though.

  2. I ditto Theresa's comment. I know that you're a fan of the Star Trek series. The closest I ever got to any of these types of movies was Spaceballs and that was because I was on a coach bus with zero control over the TV. lol

    1. I hope this one will be more about exploration and science and less about war.
