LUCA ANIMATED MOVIE
DELIGHTFUL SEA MONSTERS
If I am not mistaken, this is Pixar's first ever major animated movie with a gay boy as the lead character and isn't that a lovely change? The coming of age fantasy adventure LUCA is out in theatres and on Disney + June 18th and it
is a feature movie directorial debut of Enrico Casarosa. Since it is set in Italy, the original plan was for legendary Italian composer Ennio Morricone to create the soundtrack, but he died and the film is now dedicated to him.

unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta, and endless scooter

all the fun is threatened by a
deeply held secret: they are sea monsters
from another world just below the water’s surface.
Luca is Pixar's 24th feature film |
The voice cast features Jacob Tremblay as Luca Paguro, a 13 year old sea monster curious about the world above the sea. I am waiting to watch this animated movie ... a good movie, I think.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem lovely, the only question I have is why does Disney have all their movies set under water?
DeleteLooks like an amazing animation ❤
ReplyDeleteIt does.
DeleteAgreed, if I was still watching cartoons... I wouldn't miss this one! 🙂 Also, I remember reading some fan theories about it being a romance between 2 best buddies.
DeleteSome viewers probably interpret it as they like. 🤷♂️ But sooner or later, gay romance will happen in animated form. I'm sure we'll be seeing it sooner than later. 😉
Fingers crossed! We need a hot animated bromance!
DeleteOh yeah. We sure do! 👏🏻
DeleteAnd non animated ones too :)
DeleteI bet my grandson would like this. I usually only watch the animated movies anymore when I watch them with him.
ReplyDeleteI watch them rarely myself, I did watch Raya and the Last Dragon tonight and loved it, which is very rare for me.
DeleteNow this one looks sooo adorable. I wouldn't mind a summer filled with lots of pasta, gelato and scooter rides.
ReplyDeleteImagine living in such a sleepy little summer place in Italy.
DeleteWould be such a dream!
DeleteProbably boring at some point, though, unless, I'd do translation there!
DeleteYou're like Jason. You'd probably be bored after a bit there and be ready for something to occupy your time. Me, I'll spend my days with a book or long walks or just mingling with the locals. I'm all for a simplistic life.
DeleteI usually don't like the locals LOL They'd probably ostracize me and I'd have no place to buy my ice cream anymore....
DeleteThen we'll make our own ice cream and sell enough to buy their stupid village and then invite all of the other ostracized people to come for a visit.
DeleteWhy would we want the other ostracized peoples? They is usually ostracized for a reason LOL Unless they is hot, of course...
DeleteOk, so only the hot ostracized people are invited!
DeleteWe're very picky, which is why were were ostracized in the first place LOL
DeleteI’m really excited for this one!! Luca is a cutie. I don’t care if that’s his BFF or BF, he’s still super cute. (Obviously, because he looks just like my Antonio!) I’m also looking forward to seeing what they portray of Italy in this film.
ReplyDeleteMost of the crew is Italian and they did say they want the film to be a homage to Felini and his films.
DeleteGreat for any cartoon fans!
ReplyDeleteShould be some nice fun under the Italian sun.
DeleteCartoon lovers come! Looks so colorful and fun. Children really like it,
ReplyDeleteSummer filled with colours!
