1ST SISI EPIC TV SERIES
SET PHOTO HAS ARRIVED
After the first official royal stills, Beta Film and German Now TV have released the first set photo of Dominique Devenport as the famous empress SISI in the new historical series which will air on France's TF1,
Austria's ORF and also RTL and Now TV in Germany. The six episode series, planed to air before the end of the year, will follow the infamously vain Empress Elisabeth, nicknamed Sisi, who was basically a pop star and influencer of her time at the end of the 19th century, and a beauty icon in Europe!
The series will air in six hourlong episodes |
SISI circles around the tomboy and Bavarian princess, who, after
her marriage with Franz Joseph I, Emperor of Austria, discovers life at
the Habsburg court in Vienna is not at all what she expected. Sisi
fights against the strict and even cruel regime at court and for her
ideals. Franz, the love of her life, is a man whose emotions and
feelings are suppressed by the façade of a strict and brutal ruler.

ReplyDeleteShe was a fashion icon of her age, she was famous for her hair too and the fan merchandise about her sold like crazy around Europe even in the 19th century, like paintings, plates, medallions etc.
Deleteinteresting series.... good for history lovers
ReplyDeleteWhich we are!
DeleteHistorical films are always interesting. I like her dress and its color.
ReplyDeleteIt is our favourite genre!
DeleteI love the dresses! So elegant and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSeems like there will be lots of golds and coppers and bronze.
DeleteThe dresses are gorgeous, but I can’t imagine being draped in all of that fabric for hours in end.
ReplyDeleteBut if you have the right setting.. like sweeping the floors of massive palaces with them...
DeleteI'm with everyone else.. I absolutely adore the costumes. Although, I still agree with my previous comment on this show. The lead isn't who I would pick to portray this character.
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
