FINDING THE MOTHER TREE
JAKE GYLLENHAAL & AMY ADAMS TO PRODUCE ADAPTATION
Amy Adams will also take the lead role |
FINDING THE MOTHER TREE follows Simard's unique journey as a mother, a
former logger, and an iconoclastic scientist and reveals how trees,
living side by side for hundreds of years, evolve and communicate. At
the center of it all are Mother Trees: mysterious,
powerful forces that
connect and sustain all the life that surrounds them. While her
revolutionary findings were initially dismissed and even ridiculed, they
are now firmly supported by research and data. Knopf published the book
last week in USA.
Jake Gyllenhaal will produce the adaptation together with Amy |
I just had to google if it this is fact.. how very interesting! I'm adding this book to my reading list and then would definitely be interested in seeing the movie.
ReplyDeleteAnd then you will start planting trees and talking to them in your yard LOL
DeleteImagine all the gossip their saying about us? They're probably standing there able to judge every generation! lol
Deletethey're*
DeleteThey probably hate us.
DeleteGood news!
ReplyDeleteTotally!
Deleteinteresting finding: tree could communicate...
ReplyDeleteI bet the book and film are interesting as well.
We should probably read the book first.
DeleteOk, that sounds interesting. I didn't know that tree's could communicate.
ReplyDeleteI knew that plants emit certain chemicals when they think something will hurt them, like when you cut off their leaf.
DeleteThis does sound interesting and I adore Amy Adams.
ReplyDeleteShould be really interesting and maybe even educational.
DeleteJake Gyllenhaals movies usually don't disappoint. I would love to watch this one!
ReplyDeleteMaybe he gives himself a role in it too in the end.
DeleteI remember reading a horror novel (might even have been Stephen King, but I just can't recall) where the trees communicated with each other and ended up killing anyone that they could who was outside. I'm sure they do have their own way of communicating. I just hope we don't push them too far and they get sick of our shit and end up killing us all LOL
ReplyDeleteNot that we wouldn't deserve it LOL An oak would probably sit on me and squish me like a crepe.
DeleteLove me some Amy Adams! 🙂
ReplyDeleteCan you believe she was once in Charmed? 🤷♂️
She was? I did not watch that one much, but I know it had the greatest hunks.
DeleteBeautiful women and beautiful men. That's what's Charmed was. Actors with poor acting skills, but... good looks. Classic TV! 🤷♂️
DeleteShe was, in one episode, yeah. Her part should be available on YouTube, I believe. 🙂
And now... She's far away from TV, a successful movie star, getting quite a few Oscar nominations! Soon, she's going to become an Academy Award-winning actress. 👏🏻
Just watched her new movie The Woman in the Window. It was first slated for release back in 2019., so... 2 years of waiting wasn't all that pleasant. 🙄 But I enjoyed it. Finally! Julianne Moore is starring too. 🧡
I hope she does not turn into Glenn Close / amazing actress with dozens of nominations and no Oscar :( Yes, the net is swamped with bad reviews of Woman in the Window and Halston as well, today, sadly.
DeleteYeah, I've seen the negative reviews for Woman in the Window and I don't think it's all that bad, but at least they're still praising Mrs Adams while writing bad about the movie! 🤷♂️
DeleteNoone can ever touch her acting.
