SIGOURNEY WEAVER TO LEAD
THE LOST FLOWERS OF ALICE HART TV SERIES ADAPTATION
This is one for the ladies. Sigourney Weaver is set to lead the seven part TV series adaptation of Holly Ringland's book THE LOST FLOWER OF ALICE HART over at Amazon. The story of the Australian novel follows a
young girl, Alice Hart, whose violent childhood casts a dark shadow over her adult life. After a family tragedy in which she loses both her abusive father and beloved mother in a tragic and mysterious fire, nine-year-old Alice is taken to live with her grandmother June on a flower farm where she learns that there are secrets within secrets about her and her family’s past.
Set against Australia’s natural landscape, and with native wildflowers and plants providing a way to express the inexpressible, the family drama spans the decades as Alice grows from a child into a woman, is epic and visceral. Her journey builds to an emotional climax as Alice, once again, finds herself fighting for her life against a man she loves.

These both two are very interesting! I always enjoy Sigourney Weaver's performance.
ReplyDeleteThe last film I saw her in was My Salinger Year, it wasn't a bad movie, though nothing fantastic. She was nice in it.
DeleteI think many of us that come from broken homes have family secrets that span for generations before us. With that said, I wish my grandma would have lived on a flower farm. How lovely that would have been to retreat to on dark days.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. I did have a yard which was filled with herbs and grass, and I did love to play with it. Although I did not live out in the nature, I did see more of it that the kids who grow up in concrete.
DeleteNever heard of The Lost Symbol, but... 😏
