BILLY THE KID EPIC SERIES
FROM TUDORS CREATOR FINDS THE LEAD TO PLAY BILLY
But he ain't called Billy but Tom Blyth and he will lead new historical adventure BILLY THE KID, an eight part Wild West drama coming from
The Tudors and Vikings creator Michael Hirst. To be directed by Otto Bathurst and air on Epix, the series is described as an epic romantic adventure based on the life of Billy the Kid, also known as William H. Bonney, from his humble Irish roots and his early days as a cowboy and gunslinger in the American frontier, to his pivotal role in the Lincoln County War and beyond. Billy is a young man with a modest demeanor and a civility and restraint in his nature, despite being the legendary outlaw, Billy the Kid. He’s an impressive sure-shot whose gun hand seems to move faster than the eye can see, but he gets no joy from killing, feeling he’s more sinned against than sinning.
Young Tom Blyth is Billy The Kid |

Paul Mescal and Emily Watson will lead the cast of the movie |
I like Emily Watson and the storyline of GOD'S CREATURE sounds intriguing.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently watching her series The Politician's Husband.
DeleteBilly The Kid series sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteWe shall give it a go. If it happens, as Hirst usually does not get to the finish line with his ideas.
DeleteI don't know how many times they can do Billy the Kid, but it hasn't reached the limit where Jason will skip it. I'm sure he'll be glued to all 8 episodes.
ReplyDeleteI'm just not sure I'm buying this guy as Billy the Kid, but maybe he is good on the screens, we shall see. I generally don't do shows which glorify criminals and villains :)
DeleteGod's Creatures does sound interesting, although I'll pass on Billy the Kid.
ReplyDeleteI probably will too unless the rest of the cast is amazing!
DeleteI agree about the actor might not be able to pull off the character, but we'll see. There's been so many different interpretations over the years, who knows. He may give the role something extra that we end up liking.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've even seen a porn Billy the Kid cartoon and liked it very much LOOOOOL Lucky Luke gives him a good spanking in it.
DeleteOh goodness. That sounds hilarious!
DeleteIt is my favourite reading like evah! LOL Sadly, it is in German, but it is the pictures that count .....
