AZTECH FORGOTTEN GODS
TO MOVE TO THE BIG SCREENS
A bit of fantasy today, starting with the movie adaptation of upcoming Aztech Forgotten Gods video game simply titled AZTECH. In this revisionist historical telling of Aztec history, European powers never arrived on the
shores of ancient Mesoamerica. The story takes place in a future where the Aztec empire was never conquered, and flourished into a hyper advanced, cutting edge civilization. The Aztec Empire’s capital, Tenochtitlan, has thrived for centuries as a stone metropolis, techno- logically elevated yet heavily rooted in the ways of those indigenous to the land. That is, until supernatural beings suddenly start to converge on the ancient city, duping those who live there by masking themselves as ancient Aztec gods like the Feathered Serpent deity Quetzalcoatl
or Mictlantecuhtli the Lord of the Underworld. Their goal is to enslave the inhabitants. Seeing through their ruse is an unlikely twenty something heroine named Achtli, whose arm has been replaced with a powerful gauntlet-like ancient stone weapon. She leads the opposition and uncovers the mystery behind these beings.
Aztech will be turned into a sf movie |
The video game itself will be launched later this summer |
EPIX' HORROR SF SERIES FROM
ADS EION BAILEY AND HAROLD PERRINEAU AS LEADS
Epix has, meanwhile, set their leads for new sf series simply titled FROM which unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town in middle America that
traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest – including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down. Eion Bailey will play Jim Matthews, who, along with his wife, is struggling in the aftermath of a personal tragedy and suddenly finds himself and his family trapped in the town. Harold Perrineau will be Boyd Stevens, the sheriff whose Draconian rules have held the fragile town together, even as he searches for a way to escape this seemingly inescapable nightmare. Stay tuned for additional casting.
Eion Bailey will take the lead role in From |
From sounds like fun, though maybe too harrowing with a horrid sheriff.
ReplyDeleteEspecially as I don't like the actor who plays the sheriff so he will be double horrid LOL
DeleteI sometimes feel like that's my town. We're all trapped here just looking for a way out.
ReplyDeleteThat would be my whole country, deary :) It is said that about half a million youngsters left the country during our current dictator and that is from 7 million citizens in total. The rest of us would leave too if we had somewhere to go LOL
DeleteSadly, I feel like many in this country would leave if they had the means to do so as well. It's unbelievable how screwed up we've become over the last 15 years. Jason, who never would have considered moving, recently stated that when they start taxing us for reparations for shit that happened before we were even born, we're leaving. Doesn't matter where, but we will not stay in a country that forces us to pay people who never had damages done to them. The stupidity of our government grows by the day and I am sometimes ashamed to live here.
DeleteOur government just gave 1000 euro to asylum seekers from Syria, and us law abiding tax paying citizens got just 30 euro LOL We should sell everything and buy us a plantation of bananas in Honduras, ask Jason if he agrees.
DeleteWell, he eats bananas every day, so I am sure he'd be on board with this idea LOL
DeleteJason is like my long lost twin, I eat bananas every day too!
DeleteFor sure. The other day, I don't remember what we were discussing, I said, "Well, Dezzy says this..." and he was like, "Well if Dezzy says it, I know better than to say differently!" LOL.
DeleteI wonder what it was now LOL But I really am often quoted around the world, tis the truth....
DeleteIf I remember, I'll let you know LOL
Deletelol
DeleteHave never watched anything lead by Eion Bailey...terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down...well, another vampire or something similar? I hope not...can't take them anymore.
ReplyDeleteEion is so handsome and magnetic, especially when shirtless, he has the most amazing bodybods :)
DeleteAztech looks really good in that cover but the game animation... 😏
ReplyDeleteNot crazy about it, honestly 🤷♂️
Yes, the game looks godawful LOL
DeleteLooks like a nice animation ❤
ReplyDeleteRight.
DeleteThis kind of animation films attract adults more than the children. I really wonder of it.
ReplyDeleteIt does.
DeleteThis is my FIFTH attempt at commenting. My phone has just given up on Blogger.. sigh.
ReplyDeleteIt's a hard pass for me on the first one. At first, I was going to pass on From too, but it reminds of a Supernatural episode that I really enjoyed. The mystery aspect took away from the Scyfy-ness for me.
From should be good, methinks, but I thought that about that Stephen King Dome series and that turned out to be a boring hell.
