shores of ancient Mesoamerica. The story takes place in a future where the Aztec empire was never conquered, and flourished into a hyper advanced, cutting edge civilization. The Aztec Empire’s capital, Tenochtitlan, has thrived for centuries as a stone metropolis, techno- logically elevated yet heavily rooted in the ways of those indigenous to the land. That is, until supernatural beings suddenly start to converge on the ancient city, duping those who live there by masking themselves as ancient Aztec gods like the Feathered Serpent deity Quetzalcoatl

Seeing through their ruse is an unlikely twenty something heroine named Achtli, whose arm has been replaced with a powerful gauntlet-like ancient stone weapon. She leads the opposition and uncovers the mystery behind these beings.

  1. From sounds like fun, though maybe too harrowing with a horrid sheriff.

    1. Especially as I don't like the actor who plays the sheriff so he will be double horrid LOL

  2. I sometimes feel like that's my town. We're all trapped here just looking for a way out.

    1. That would be my whole country, deary :) It is said that about half a million youngsters left the country during our current dictator and that is from 7 million citizens in total. The rest of us would leave too if we had somewhere to go LOL

    2. Sadly, I feel like many in this country would leave if they had the means to do so as well. It's unbelievable how screwed up we've become over the last 15 years. Jason, who never would have considered moving, recently stated that when they start taxing us for reparations for shit that happened before we were even born, we're leaving. Doesn't matter where, but we will not stay in a country that forces us to pay people who never had damages done to them. The stupidity of our government grows by the day and I am sometimes ashamed to live here.

    3. Our government just gave 1000 euro to asylum seekers from Syria, and us law abiding tax paying citizens got just 30 euro LOL We should sell everything and buy us a plantation of bananas in Honduras, ask Jason if he agrees.

    4. Well, he eats bananas every day, so I am sure he'd be on board with this idea LOL

    6. For sure. The other day, I don't remember what we were discussing, I said, "Well, Dezzy says this..." and he was like, "Well if Dezzy says it, I know better than to say differently!" LOL.

  6. This kind of animation films attract adults more than the children. I really wonder of it.

  7. This is my FIFTH attempt at commenting. My phone has just given up on Blogger.. sigh.

It's a hard pass for me on the first one. At first, I was going to pass on From too, but it reminds of a Supernatural episode that I really enjoyed. The mystery aspect took away from the Scyfy-ness for me.

    1. From should be good, methinks, but I thought that about that Stephen King Dome series and that turned out to be a boring hell.
