 REBECCA FERGUSON TO LEAD

After The White Queen, Rebecca Ferguson will lead another small screen series: the TV adaptation of WOOL dystopian novel by Hugh Howey over at Apple TV + and she will also executive produce it. Self published by

the author himself back in 2011, the book is a set in a ruined and toxic future where a community exists in a giant silo underground, hundreds of stories deep. There, men and women live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them. Rebecca Ferguson will star as Juliette, an independent and hardworking engineer. There were at least two previous efforts to adapt the book at other studios. Speaking of epic TV series, Amazon has just renewed The Wheel of Time epic fantasy series for a second season even though the first one has not been released yet.

DANGEROUS LIAISONS SERIES
STARZ CASTS LEAD STARS
Earlier last year I told you that Starz is preparing a prequel TV series to famous DANGEROUS LIAISONS and now they have set the stars for it. As
Nicholas Denton will be young Valmont
Deadline reports, Alice Englert and Nicholas Denton will play the notorious lovers Merteuil and Valmont in this reimagining of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’ classic 18th century novel! It tells the origin story of how the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont meet as passionate young lovers in Paris on the eve of revolution. Driven to right the wrongs of their past, the couple rises from the slums of Paris and scales the heights of the French aristocracy, seducing and manipulating both the nobility and each other to survive. Marquise Camille is a beautiful young

woman from nowhere with a mysterious past who seeks revenge on the wealthy aristocrats who led her to ruin. Betrayed by her lover, Valmont, she turns heartbreak into empowerment as she strategizes to gain status, power and freedom. Pascal Valmont was driven to regain the title and status stolen from him by his stepmother after his father’s death. Without status or money, he must seduce and blackmail to get what he wants, even if it risks losing the one he loves most – Camille. The series has already started its preproduction down in Czech republic.

  1. Rebecca Ferguson looks really beautiful. It takes a lot of time and effort to maintain that messy looking hair style....LOL

    1. She is naturally very pretty, she's from Sweden, an actress and operatic singer too, which is strange as they did not let her sing for realz in The Greatest Showman, not even in that Never Enough legendary scene.

    2. That wasn't her singing?! I had no idea!

    3. No, it was from lovely Loren Allred, probably the most flawless singing performance ever in any film IMHO.

  2. My mom is super sad that it's the last season for The Last Kingdom. I believe there is a petition online trying to get them to go another season. Not that they ever listen to fans wants, but stranger things have happened.

    1. I don't think it will be renewed, people are not aware but that show has been on for like eight or nine years, but they had long pauses between the seasons so that is why they have just five. I think most of them want to move on to new projects and the script really is getting tired with him never getting any reward. I say more eff words while watching this show than any other LOL We have lovely new shows on Starz and Netflix to look forward too now that BBC and ITV are pretty much given up on period set pieces due to woke pressure they suffer. But sadly the next season on your big networks gives me depression, there isn't a single new project there I want to watch and they killed all comedies too, Fox and NBC won't have comedy hour and ABC is not for me with their nasty wokeism so I will have no comedies to watch. I will need treatment probably.

    2. It's one that I need to catch up on. I stopped watching after season 2 because the long breaks between seasons.

I imagine with the lack of programs on the horizon I'll have more time to read, which is good because my book list about reaches the moon by now.

    3. But I cannot read in da evenings, I'm too tired from translating books all day long, oh, sing me a sad song.... I have to watch Last Man Standing finale this weekend to say goodbye to that one forever.

    4. That's a hard one to say goodbye to, but they really let the woke crowd ruin it by canceling it in the first place. It was like they were never able to get their mojo back when they came back. So sad because it was such a great show until then.

    5. I hear most people did not like the finale, but I might as I hear it is metaphoric and meaningful and such episodes are usually their best. Mike's green van gets stolen and he talks how he will miss it, aka how he will miss the show LOL I'm in for some emotions tonight, I will watch it while waiting for Serbia's Hurricane at the Eurosong tonight.

    6. Let us know what you think of the finale!

    7. I did not like it one bit, sadly. It did not really seem like a finale, but like one of the mediocre season episodes. There were almost no emotions, no sense of end, parting, sadness.... just a very boring episode. I did like Mike's final vlog and there was a lovely scene when Kyle says to Alzate that he knows he will end up in heaven he just does not understand what kind of heaven could it be without Mr Alzate there with him (it was a sign that Alzate will probably accept god for Kyle's love). Kyle has become a minister. I was disappointed with the rest, left me empty instead of fulfilled.

    8. Well, that's quite disappointing, but I suppose not surprising given how weak the show was when it came back. Let's hope they can revive Tool Time to make up for the last few seasons of LMS.

    9. *Home Improvement* we always called it Tool Time though lol

    10. I reckon Tim will have himself a nice little break. He is getting old, so I don't know if he wants to continue with shootings, especially in today's set of situation in USA. I think he has a big heart and is very much hurt by it all.

    11. Probably he is tired of all of the wokeness of the current generation. I know I wouldn't want to work in a field that vilified me for being a white male. If he does do anything in the future, he'll probably stick to voicing animated characters like he did in Toy Story.

    12. I will miss him a lot, since I've never had a father or any kind of father figure in my life, growing up with his family in Home Improvement and then in LMS really made me accept him as sort of a father I've never had. It sounds stupid, but these sitcoms sometimes mean a lot to us.

    13. They do. It’s nice to get sucked into a 30 minute program and feel like you’re part of their family, even for such a short period of the day.

    14. Absolutely. Especially when them shows last for years or even a decade.

  3. Thought Alice Englert had a familar face for some reason, and... 😏 I was right 🤷‍♂️ Watched her in Ratched and somewhere else, think it was a movie. 🙂

Also, when I see Rebecca Ferguson and UK together, I always think of that X Factor singer. Not to be confused with this actress, of course.

    1. She starred in that YA movie, I forgot the title.
The singer Rebecca is losing battle with actress on Google, when you put their name you will get more actress articles than the singer these days.

  4. Rebecca Ferguson is so beautiful that even I do a double take whenever I see her. My husband recently watched a movie with her where she was some sort of assassin. I don't remember anything about the movie other than me looking up and getting excited to see her!

    2. YES! That's the assassin movie. I hope that's not true about her and Cruise. Seems she can do much better..
