BBC'S 'LES MISERABLES'
If you follow your trusted spy regularly and religiously (As you really should), you have already been informed that among the large slate of new series that BBC is preparing, British broadcaster also has a plan of turning LES MISERABLES into new mini series and now they've revealed the cast! Lily Collins will play Fantine, Dominic West will star as Jean Valjean, and David Oyelowo as Javert, in the six part non musical series written by Andrew Davies (War and Peace) and directed by Tom Shankland! The cast will also have Adeel Akhtar and Olivia Colman as Monsieur and Madame Thénardier, Ellie Bamber as Cosette, Josh O’Connor as Marius and Erin Kellyman as Éponine. Masterpiece is teaming up with BBC on this one!
LES MISERABLES, which starts shooting next month, centres on French
convict Jean Valjean and his struggles to escape his past while being
hunted for years over a parole violation by Inspector Javert, set
against the backdrop of the uprising of 1832 France!

Les Miserables -- the gift that keeps on giving!
ReplyDeletethank Jupiter it's not a musical, I couldn't handle all the screeching methinks.
DeleteWhat a lovely cast. I agree. Thank Jupiter it's not a musical. I couldn't do the movie with Russel Crow and all that screeching. Turned it off 15 minutes in.
ReplyDeleteI have it downloaded in my stash for two years now and still haven't found the energy to watch it :) Watched Light Between the Oceans last, it wasn't bad, although Alicia Vikander's character pissed me off dramatically.
DeleteI still have that one saved to watch at some point, some day. Is it just me, or is commenting on blogger taking forever to go through? Half the time I can't even get it to work when commenting with my ipad :(
DeleteIt is something with blogger, it takes almost a minute to load everything :(
DeleteThey need to get their shit together. In this digital age, there's really no excuse for the lag.
Deleteit's been going on for a week or so and I see it is still going on today as well. 'Sending message to blogger...' and then you wait for a minute for something to happen.
DeleteYep, and you would think since it is connected to all all mighty Google we wouldn't have this issue. Pft!
DeleteI thought it was just my Avast or Firefox, but it seems it is not if you have da same problem
DeleteAnother Les Miserables... Well, if they do it right, I'll be all for it. I'm with Theresa. The last one was beyond revolting. But hey, this is Hollywood we're talking about. The misses are more frequent than the hits, eh?
ReplyDeleteI should really erase the last one from my computer then :)
DeleteLes Miserables in epic miniseries! Can’t wait, can’t wait.. watching it on Brodway here with different casts! Happy New Year btw :)..
ReplyDeleteBBC always treats us with some epic new series
