IN FACE OF FEAR THEY FOUND STRENGTH IN EACH OTHER
March, 1918. A dugout in the trenches near Saint-Quentin, northern France. Six soldiers from a British Army infantry company have four short days left before they climb over the top and charge, hopelessly, helplessly, into the waiting, heavily armed, enemy lines. It’s obvious suicide. The men know it. They feel it in their bones. And they spend their last four
days on Earth shifting between quiet contemplation,
drunken rage, recrimination and eventual resignation — always undercut
and underpinned by profound, and profoundly moving, brotherly love.

Although I wanted to see Me Before You, I never saw it in the theater. Looks like Sam Claflin has quite a few interesting roles in the works!

it was beautiful, tearjerking and gorgeously acted by both him and Emilia Clarke, he deserved award noms for that one, he is just so deeply expressive and radiant actor, a face and eyes that shine in today's world where most young actors have one facial expression in all scenes. His wife Laura Haddock is also a gem, I was disgusted to see her nominated for a Razzie this year, her talent does not deserve such nonsense.
DeleteI'm looking forward to "Journey's End." Seems like they've been making that movie forever . . . .
ReplyDeleteindeed, and it still does not have US release, methinks
DeleteSam is such a gem. You can't help but fall in love with him all over again every time you see him in a new role. Can't wait for his new works to be released!
ReplyDeletehe is always so convincing in his role and always radiates with boyish innocence and honesty. I think an angel gets his wings every time he and his wife Laura Haddock kiss :)
DeleteWow...the movie sounds amazing...heart wrenching...
