  'DANCE TO DEATH' TRAILER
 FOR NEW SF EXTRAVAGANZA!
Over in Russia, a new English language trailer and poster have been released for sf action movie DANCE TO DEATH (Tantsy nasmert) which is out this month set in the 2070s Moscow. The old energy technologies, such as oil and coal, were lost decades ago during the nuclear war. But a new technology has been developed that converts the human body directly into energy, leaving behind only a flurry of gray ashes. In a sealed bunker in the post apocalyptic ruins of Moscow, young people struggle against each other in a deadly dancing tournament. The winners will live. The losers will be consumed for energy to power the city. One of the young people in the bunker is Kostya (Ivan Zhvakin), who was captured during a police raid and forced into the tournament. There he meets and falls in love with Anya (Lukerya Ilyashenko), the daughter of a high ranking official who has willingly offered herself to the tournament for the sake of the city. Who will survive?

  2. If there's one thing SF movies have taught us viewers (but not movie studios) is that they always get the dates wrong. 2070's Moscow won't look like that. Better make that 3070's Moscow. No?

    1. No, most of Moscow already looks like that. You might wanna check photos of Azerbaijan's Baku for example, it looks like space city

  5. Dance to the Death seems very Hunger Games -ish. Android seems a bit interesting, but maybe just because I like Aaron Paul.

  6. Damn those androids when they get their own perspectives and realize working for humans sucks eggs. Dance to Death has a cool premise. Though that poster lets me think of a low level Jupiter Ascending. The trailer got it's point across and seemed decent.
