NICOLE SCHERZINGER
TO LEAD 'WICKED' ADAPTATION?
According to latest rumours from Hollywood, impossibly talented and divinely gorgeous Nicole Scherzinger is currently the leading choice for the role of the green witch Elphaba in the Stephen Daldry helmed Winter 2019 movie adaptation of WICKED! She already gave legendary performances in Cats and Phantom of the Opera, and gave voice to Moana's mother last year. Below you can check out her ground breaking version of Sia's Never Give Up from Oscar nominated Lion.
WICKED spotlights the untold stories of Wizard of Oz's characters,
namely the Wicked Witch of the West and her unlikely friend, Glinda the
Good Witch. It follows green skinned Elphaba through the life changing
events which eventually label her WICKED also featuring spoiled rich
girl Glinda, local prince and heartthrob Fiyero and even the Wizard of
Oz himself. As Elphaba fights injustice and seeks to undo the mistakes
of the past, dark secrets and personal tragedies shape the history of
Oz!
'FANTASTIC BEASTS' SEQUEL
CALLUM TURNER JOINS THE CAST AS NEWT'S BROTHER
Meanwhile, the gorgeous villain we loved to hate in War And Peace, Callum Turner has joined the sequel FANTASTIC BEASTS 2 and will play Eddie Redmayne's character Newt Scamander's brother which is hardly surprising given that he's Eddie's lookalike! As you know Jude Law and Johnny Depp have already joined the cast, Jude as young professor Dumbledore and Depp as the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald. David Yates is directing again and as it was previously announced that each of the potential five movies in the franchise will be set in another city, this one will have the story revolving in Paris which means we can expect magical beasts and monsters of French charms. The movie is set for November 2018!
'MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS'
MARGOT ROBBIE IS VIRGIN QUEEN
And the third stunner for today comes in the lovely blond form of Margot Robbie who has just been given the task of ruling England in historical movie MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS as the Virgin Queen Elizabeth! That is what 'Hollywood Reporter' writes today!
A few years ago I already informed you that the titular role of the
unfortunate and tragic Scottish queen will go to Saoirse Ronan. Her
efforts to try to throw down her aggressive cousin Elizabeth from the
English throne and the ensuing battle between the two of them will be
the main focus of the upcoming period set drama. Although Elizabeth
eventually imprisons and beheads Mary, her son James I later gets the
throne his mother coveted so much and becomes the king of England,
Scotland and Ireland, after Elizabeth fails to give birth to her own
heir. The movie has a female director Josie Rourke!
I just saw the mini Dezzy on the couch with the popping corn. Too cute.

Almost Stylish
schwester, Nicole has been a star of stage and theatre for more than a decade and she is also an educated operatic singer, she could probably win an Oscar if they just give her a chance.

DeleteAll of these look good to me! I had no idea there would be more Fantastic Beasts- I still haven't seen the first one, but love that this one is set in Paris.
ReplyDeleteI love the book Wicked- but haven't seen it on the stage. The actress seems like she would do an amazing job as Elphaba!

Nicole has the most powerful voice, born for musicals!
DeleteNicole will be amazing in Wicked, I am sure. Good choice!
ReplyDeleteI'm just praying she gets the role, she will be over forty in two years time :(
DeleteShe looks a hell of a lot better than a lot of 40 year old people, so if they don't cast her because of her age, they've obviously fell off their rockers.
ReplyDeleteI think she is actually a bit older than me, but is covering it up a bit :) She does look supermiaow! Ain't nobody carries herself like Scherzy does! And she does use that recipe for youthful looks - going out with younger males of the species :)
DeleteI'm excited for Fantastic Beasts 2. I really enjoyed the first one.
ReplyDeleteglad to hear it
