SEE JUDE LAW AND ALICIA VIKANDER AS HENRY VIII AND HIS LAST WIFE IN FIREBRAND HISTORICAL MOVIE TRAILER

   FIREBRAND TRAILER
WITH JUDE LAW AND ALICIA VIKANDER
Well, this one is finally coming to the cinemas June 14th so we have received the first trailer for FIREBRAND historical movie drama with Jude Law as King Henry VIII and Alicia Vikander as his last wife Katherine Parr. The film that also stars Amr Waked, Eddie Marsan, Simon Russell Beale, Sam Riley and Patsy Ferran, did not receive well criticism after it's festival run, but we will judge for ourselves. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think, is it lacking in fire and spark like the critics say? The film did have a rather long way to theatres from changing the lead actress to changing the title.

IN BLOOD SOAKED TUDOR ENGLAND
twice married, accomplished, and educated Katherine Parr (Vikander), reluctantly agrees to become the sixth wife of the tyrannical King Henry VIII (Law). Her consent to marry him carries great personal risk, given that her predecessors are either vanquished, beheaded, or dead. When Henry appoints her as Regent, the nation’s ruler during his absence when he departs to fight overseas, he lays a dangerous path for her. Henry’s courtiers, suspecting she’s sympathetic to radical Protestant beliefs that have taken root in the kingdom and are a threat to their power, scheme against her and cast doubts upon her fidelity to the increasingly ailing and paranoid King. Once Henry returns to England, his courtiers convince him to turn his fury on the nation’s radicals, including Katherine’s childhood friend Anne Askew, who becomes one of the scores of people convicted of treason and burned at the stake. Horrified and privately grieving, Katherine finds herself under ever-increasing scrutiny and suspicion. Knowing that even a whisper of scandal might lead to her downfall, Katherine must unleash her own scheme to fight for survival.

NEW LOOK AT JUDE LAW & ALICIA VIKANDER AS HENRY VIII AND CATHERINE PARR IN FIREBRAND HISTORICAL MOVIE

 NEW FIREBRAND IMAGES
WITH JUDE LAW AND ALICIA VIKANDER IN HISTORICAL DRAMA
Not that you will recognise them, especially Jude Law (that is him in the first photo) who changed fully in order to play Henry VIII in FIREBRAND historical drama which got standing ovations last night at Cannes, but everything gets ovations there, some other first review describe the film as empty and lacking in fire. Beside looking not as handsome as he normally does, Jude revealed that during the filming he also wore a specially-made perfume, to get into character, made out of 'blood, fecal matter and sweat'! Poor Alicia Vikander, who plays his last wife Catherine Parr in it.. Patsy Ferran portrays princess Mary and Junia Rees portrays Elizabeth. Erin Doherty portrays radical preacher Anne Askew, who was labelled a heretic by Henry and his supporters, while Sam Riley and Eddie Marsan play brothers Thomas and Edward Seymour, who were senior courtiers.

 FIREBRAND FOLLOWS
Catherine Parr, the final wife of Henry VIII, a feminist force to be reckoned with who outlived the notorious king; the fate of his previous wives being either divorced, dead or beheaded. She is named regent with the king warring abroad, and she’s done everything she can to push for a new future based on her radical Protestant beliefs. Law plays a royal on his way out, having returned from fighting with a dire medical condition. Palace intrigue abounds entailing Henry squaring off with the Seymours brothers, one of them having their eye on Catherine, and the king ultimately fading.

JUDE LAW'S HENRY VIII HISTORICAL DRAMA FIREBRAND ADS ALICIA VIKANDER AS QUEEN CATHERINE PARR

  JUDE LAW'S FIREBRAND
CROWNS ALICIA VIKANDER
Alicia Vikander replaces Michelle Williams
Sad news, people, instead of Michelle Williams who was supposed to play the queen, FIREBRAND historical movie with Jude Law as Henry VIII has added Alicia Vikander as his last queen Catherine Parr, who was the only one to avoid banishment or death. By the time young Catherine Parr married the deteriorating, increasingly despotic King Henry VIII, she had no assurances of a happy marriage; in fact, she had no assurances of surviving this marriage at all. Of her predecessors, two were thrown out, one died in childbirth and two were beheaded. While Catherine tried to keep her head about her to navigate the politics of her position, she brought a secret agenda. She was Protestant, believed it her duty to marry Henry, for it would be the only position in which she could convert him, and the kingdom, from his pro-Catholic position. That faith was tested when the church resisted granting his divorce from his first wife so he could marry Anne Boleyn, who would later be beheaded. With arrests, torture, and executions of Protestants on the rise, Catherine invited a dangerous game that would leave

one of them dead before long. The thriller is told through Catherine’s singular point-of-view of the psychological horror of living with a monster, and the remarkable will to not only survive, but thrive. Karim Ainouz is directing.

MICHELLE WILLIAMS TO LEAD FIREBRAND 16TH CENTURY SET MOVIE AS HENRY VIII'S LAST QUEEN KATHERINE PARR!

 MICHELLE WILLIAMS TO LEAD
FIREBRAND AS KATHERINE PARR
The shooting will start in early 2022
I cannot remember if we have seen her before in a costume drama, but Screen Daily reports today straight from Cannes that Michelle Williams will take the lead role in Karim Ainouz' FIREBRAND historical movie about Katherine Parr, the last of King Henry VIII's six wives. Jessica and Henrietta Ashworth are currently writing the script for this historical psychological horror film set at the dangerous Tudor court; a story of intrigue, agency and survival which tells how Katherine Parr outlasted Henry VIII’s brutal reign.

Kathe- rine Parr previously beautifully played by gorgeous Joely Richardson in ultra popular The Tudors series, was the queen of England and Ireland for four years before Henry's death. She had four husbands herself and was involved in raising Henry's heir, future queen Elizabeth and his ill son as well. She even acted as a regent while Henry was on a campaign in France and would have become the ruler of the country if he died in battle. She was also the first woman to publish a book in England under her own name. After Henry's death she assumed the role of

Elizabeth's guardian and continued with publishing books. She was allowed to keep the Crown Jewels and act as his official dowager queen. Half a year after Henry's death she married her fourth husband baron Thomas Seymour but she died just a few months after that at childbirth when she was only 36.
