14TH CENTURY SET GAME A PLAGUE TALE TO BE TURNED INTO A FRENCH TV SERIES! ERIN DOHERTY TO BE BURNT IN TOWER OF LONDON IN JUDE LAW'S HENRY VIII MOVIE FIREBRAND

  ERIN DOHERTY CAST IN
JUDE LAW'S FIREBRAND
Just last week I told you that Alicia Vikander has replaced Michelle Williams in FIREBRAND historical movie in which Jude Law plays Henry VIII and
Erin Doherty starred in Chloe and Crown
Vikander will play his last wife Catherine Parr, and now from Daily Mail comes news that Chloe's Erin Doherty has been cast too as Protestant martyr Anne Askew, who was tortured at the Tower of London then burnt at the stake. Among other storylines, the film will also cover Henry's adviser Stephen Gardiner, the Bishop of Winchester (Simon Russell Beale), and his ruthless investigation to uncover high profile heretics, as part of a campaign to destroy Parr. Gardiner ordered Askew to be taken to the Tower, hoping she would betray the queen. But Askew refused to give up names, despite enduring torture so barbaric even the Tower's constable begged Henry to stop.

  A PLAGUE TALE GAME
TO BECOME A TV SERIES
A Plague Tale is getting an adaptation
In other epic genre news, there are rumours coming from Allocine, that the French producers will turn Bordeaux based game developer Asobo's A PLAGUE TALE game into a television series directed by Mathieu Turi. Taking place in 14th century France, A PLAGUE TALE follows the story of Amicia de Rune and her brother, Hugo, who has been ill since birth. The pair flee their home from the French Inquisition and must navigate their way to safety while avoiding soldiers as well as rats that are carrying the black plague. The world wide popular video game has been sold in over one million copies since its release back in year 2019.

  1. if is not too woke, I may enjoy A Plague's Tale. The Henry VIII film is looking better with each addition. I loved Erin in The Crown

    1. I am excited to see Jude as Henry, but Alicia ruins my excitement, that gurl couldn't act if her life depended on it. Strange how they did not cast Fassy as Henry LOL

    2. But Fassy is a bit out of fashion, isn't he?

    3. In my book never LOL
The two of them had a baby two years ago and took a two year long break from their career, she is returning with this and some new series, while he is still taking care of their baby. Hope he is back soon too as I really love him. I would love a period set TV series for him.

    4. We can agree, Gattocito, that he is a scrumptious dish, but is that enough for Hollywood? I hear he’s coming up with the remake of The Wild Bunch. Aside from the fact that my favorite western needs no remake, it’s a tale of old gunfighters. Peckinpah gathered a bunch of Hollywood has-beens and the lead (I guess Fassbender will play him), PIke was in his fifties. Bill Holden was fifty-one when he played him. Fassy is only forty-four and he is already playing old men? Yes, epic/period series are the lifesavers of mature actors. Look at Sean Bean.

    5. Well he is not really in Hollywood, he is more of a British actor, methinks. I would not like to see him in Marvel movies for sure.
It is interesting that he is just a year older than me, but my face looks at least ten years younger than his, he did not use sunscreen at all, sadly, you get them deep wrinkles when exposing yourself to elements. But still has the hottest body ever in Hollywood with zero percent fat which is why he might be an alien as that is just not fair nor natural LOL

    1. Hope we get to see it, it being French and all. Still haven't been able to see Germinal nor Sisi as nobody torrents them in Europe.

    2. I have a feeling they will eventually. You'll just have to be patient until they pop up.

    3. I am not optimistic as that never happens LOL Even if some obscure channel buys them later on, programmes from smaller channels are usually not under the eye of torrent hawks.
