After the teaser back in April, Angel Studios has now released a trailer for their historical epic movie ZERO A.D. which is scheduled to arrive to cinemas ahead of the holidays, December 19th with quite a stellar cast which includes  Sam Worthington, Ben Mendelsohn, Gael García Bernal and Jim Caviezel with Deva Cassel as Virgin Mary. Previously known as Betlehem it has the following synopsis: Before kings and empires feared him, a tyrant sought to erase him. A newborn child ignites a prophetic war. A ruthless prince seeks to crush the prophecy that threatens his father’s rule. And an unlikely mother is forced into the center of a battle between power and destiny. This is the untold origin of a revolution where faith is tested, courage is forged, and the forces of darkness fight to extinguish the light. In this profound spiritual thriller shooting over in Morocco for a 2025 theatrical release, an extraordinary woman will do anything to protect her newborn son from the murderous King Herod, who is obsessed with finding and killing the child. Apple TV Plus has issued trailer for their THE NEW LOOK mini series which will start streaming its ten episodes February 14th set in Paris after the Nazi occupation of the French capital when it became the heart of a fashion revival led by Christian Dior (Ben Mendelsohn) but it caused his clash with Coco Chanel (Juliette Binoche) who reigned the fashion world before that. Maisie Williams also stars as Catherine Dior, Emily Mortimer as Elsa Lombardi, John Malkovich as Lucien Lelongand, Claes Bang as Spatz with Glenn Close as one of the lead fashion editors of the time. Our French hunkster Hugo Becker also stars. Cristóbal Balenciaga, Pierre Cardin, Hubert de Givenchy and Pierre Balmain will also be featured as they were their contemporaries. It will not arrive this year as it is set for February 14th launch at Apple TV Plus, but we have the first images from THE NEW LOOK mini TV series which will revolve around the fashion war between Christian Dior and Coco Chanel, played by Ben Mendelsohn and Juliette Binoche. The series will have a three episode premiere with the rest airing weekly till April.

against he World War II Nazi occupation of Paris, and focuses on the pivotal moment in the twentieth century when the French city led the world back to life through its fashion icon Christian Dior. A bunch of first looks for you today starting with the first photo of Kelvin Harrison in CHEVALIER movie which will premiere at Toronto Film Festival. He portrays Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, the son of a slave and a plantation owner, who became popular at the French court as a composer. Lucy Boynton plays Marie Antoinette with Samara Weaving in the lead female role. The film will hit theatres August 23rd.

EMILY BRONTE BIOPIC

Also premiering in Toronto is Frances O'Connor's biopic on Emily Bronte EMILY with Emma Mackey playing the famous writer of Wuthering Heights. Also starring Oliver Jackson Cohen, it imagines the transformative, exhilarating, and uplifting journey to womanhood of a rebel and a misfit, one of the world's most famous, enigmatic, and provocative writers who died too soon at the age of 30.

NAUTILUS DISNEY SERIES

We also have the first sneaky peek into Disney Plus adventure series NAUTILUS showing Shazad Latif at the sets as famous Captain Nemo from Jules Verne's legendary novel. Jacob Collins Levy and Richard E. Grant also star in this origin story of Captain Nemo and his legendary submarine. The period set drama will open in 1940s Australia, with the film depicting the mesmeric story of a 9 year old Aboriginal orphan boy who arrives in the dead of night at a remote monastery run by a renegade nun (Cate Blanchett). The new boy’s presence disturbs the delicately balanced world in this story of spiritual struggle and the cost of survival.

This one is coming out exactly 110 years after the first ever movie was shot on ROBIN HOOD but don't expect that it will be faithful to the famous legend of the thief from Sherwood forest who steals from the rich and gives it to the poor! In this one, they're blatantly trying to turn the story upside down and depict Robin as some kind of hood rat and street gangsta. They obviously don't care that someone tried that with King Arthur recently and it flopped miserably. ROBIN HOOD, staring talented young Brit Taron Egerton, will fly into cinemas November 21st almost every where around the world and today you can check out the final trailer below released by Lionsgate!

THE REST OF THE MERRY GANG

Directed by Otto Bathurst (mostly known for celebrating criminals and gangsters in his work, as in Peaky Blinders and now this one), the movie also stars ladies' fave Jamie Dornan as Will Scarlet, the half-brother of Robin Hood, a member of Merry Men and the husband of Marian who is played by Eve Hewson (Susan Sarandon's daughter) and who obviously won't mind being also Robin's love interest. Ben Mendelsohn portrays Sheriff of Nottingham, Robin Hood's infamous enemy. Tim Minchin is Friar Tuck, Paul Anderson is Guy of Gisborne! Bathurst wanted Taron in the lead role so much that he even postponed the beginning of production to fit the actor's schedule. Jack Huston, Nicholas Hoult and Jack Reynor also auditioned for the role. In the film, Robin Hood uses the ancient techniques of speed shooting from the draw hand and the double draw! Unlike the previous 2010 Robin Hood with Russell Crowe which lasted two and a half hours, this one will be a bit shorter than two hours.

Timothee Chalamet could be the lead in Dune

I'm not exactly sure why they're trying to stuff him everywhere these days, he could certainly use a bit more charisma and acting chops, but, according to Hollywood Reporter, it seems Timothee Chalamet is in talks to star in the new adaptation of Frank Herbert's seminal science fiction saga DUNE. He is, apparently, supposed to play young Paul Atreides in Denis Villeneuve directed movie. Don't know about you, but this cast would make me lose interest in the project.

DUNE, set in the far future amidst a sprawling feudal interstellar empire where planetary dynasties are controlled by noble houses that owe an allegiance to the imperial House Corrino, tells the story of young Paul Atreides (the son of Duke Leto Atreides and heir of House Atreides) as he and his family accept control of the desert planet Arrakis, the only source of the 'spice' melange, the most important and valuable substance in the cosmos which gives its users heightened consciousness and an extended lifespan.
