THE BUCCANEERS SERIES
FIRST IMAGES AND AIR DATE
Apple TV Plus has unveiled first images and air date for their new period set drama THE BUCCANEERS which will open with three episodes on November 8th and will then air the rest weekly. The small screen adaptation of Edith Wharton’s unfinished final novel of the same name, has the story set in 1870s London. It follows a group of fun-loving young American girls who explode into the tightly corseted London season and kick off an Anglo-American culture clash as the land of the stiff upper lip is infiltrated by a disregard for centuries of tradition. Sent to secure husbands and titles, the buccaneers’ hearts are set on much more than that, and saying “I do” is just the beginning! The cast does not boast a lot of famous names, but Christina Hendricks stars as Mrs. St. George, Josh Dylan as Lord Richard Marable, Guy Remmers as Theo, Duke of Tintagel, Matthew Broome as Guy Thwarte and Barney Fishwick as Lord James Seadown.

ReplyDeleteAnd ditch Deathflix LOL
DeleteI am glad that I wasn't born at that era, otherwise those kinds of clothes would probably kill me..
ReplyDeleteThat and their lack of hygiene which was very nasty in previous centuries.
DeleteI don't have Apple tv but I'm not sure I would watch this one anyway.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is too silly and the casting is just ghastly.
DeleteIdk, I think this one looks fun. I’d probably be one of those trashy American girls messing up the reserved British scene. I’m not quiet and always say what’s on my mind. Sometimes my family is like “wtf is wrong with you?” And I’m just like “well, I’m not fake. You will never not know where you stand with me because every thought flies right out of my mouth lol”. I would have stormed over and snapped me up a hot British lad back then too!
ReplyDeleteYep, we would definitely kick you out of Britain pronto LOL No, decorum, such scandal LOL
DeleteI am the same I also tell what is on my mind most of the time, wish I would not sometimes....
