ASTERIX AND OBELIX
THE MIDDLE KINGDOM POSTER
Pathe Films has released a poster for a new sequel in the ASTERIX AND OBELIX franchise, this time titled THE MIDDLE KINGDOM and arriving to cinemas next February with Guillaume Canet, Gilles Lellouche, Marion Cotillard and Vincent Cassel in the lead roles. It’s the year 50 BC.
The Empress of China has just been imprisoned following a coup d’état incited by Deng Tsin Qin, a traitorous prince. Helped by Finalthesis, the Phoenician merchant, and her faithful bodyguard Mai Wei, the Empress’ only daughter Princess Sass-Yi flees to Gaul to ask for help from two valiant warriors Asterix and Obelix, who are endowed with superhuman strength thanks to their magic potion. Our two inseparable heroes gladly accept to help the Princess save her mother and free her country. And thus begins a great voyage and adventure on the road to China. But Caesar and his powerful army, thirsty for a new conquest, are also heading toward the Middle Kingdom.

HUI BUH & WITCH'S CASTLE
MOVIE SEQUEL FROM GERMANY
Speaking of family movies, over in Germany we have a delightful trailer for HUI BUH AND THE WITCH'S CASTLE (Hui Buh und das Hexenschloss) which arrives to cinemas as a sequel to their 2006 movie hit. 14 years have passed since King Julius moved in with Hui Buh at Burgeck Castle.
While Huibuh still suffers greatly from being a laughing stock as a ghost and thus getting on Julius' nerves, he has been going through a hard time since Konstan- zia left him. The yawning emptiness of the castle's treasury slowly but surely becomes unmistakable and contributes to the eternal arguing between the two. Suddenly the little witch Ophelia is at the door and asks her uncle HuiBuh for help. She tells Julius and HuiBuh about her escape from the evil 
witch Erla, who kidnapped her mother, in search of the Necrominicon, the most powerful magic book in the world. Now she's after Ophelia. HuiBuh sees a unique opportunity to finally get creepy! The book's fabled spells could make his dream of finally being creepy come true.

Hui Buh looks so fun! I’ll have to see if I can find it here but with subtitles.

DeleteMaybe that's part of it, but the guy on the left has a naughty expression on, like he's hiding something behind that shield. And the little pooch in the corner looks horrified!
