Sam Corlett will play Leif Eriksson himself (a Greenlander, raised on the outer fringes of the known world, Leif comes from a tightly knit family steeped in the old pagan beliefs. An intrepid sailor and physically tough),
Frida Gustavsson will be Freydis Eriksdotter (fiercely pagan, fiery and headstrong, Freydis is a staunch believer in the “old gods.” Leif is her brother) while our dearest

portray Harald Sigurdsson (born into Viking nobility, Harald is one of the last Viking berserkers. Charismatic, ambitious and handsome, he is able to unite both followers of Odin and Christians).
David Oakes will be Earl Godwin, chief counsellor to the King of England (the ultimate survivor. Born on the political fringes, his cunning ways get him far),
Caroline Henderson is Freydis’ mentor Jarl Haakon (a great warrior and tolerant leader, Haakon rules Kattegat with a steady hand. Though Pagan, she has managed to keep Kattegat a city open to all faiths in a challenging time. She will become a powerful mentor to Freydis, who is drawn to her wisdom).

Good looking cast for sure.
ReplyDeleteLeo and David are the hottest period set dramas guys! David is the most charming one and Leo has been such a gorgeous breath of fresh air in the genre in recent years. Love them both to bits.
DeleteMany handsome faces...would be fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a feast for the eyes.
DeleteWas about to say that, Angie. Especially the first 2 😉
ReplyDeleteLeo is so drop dead gorgeous and also has a beautiful, innocent charisma, while David is a true charmer and lethally seductive.
DeleteI saw your Facebook post about David Oaks.. I almost expected to find a picture of him in a pose touching his face just for your site!! :)
ReplyDeleteHe's always been humorous with me, such a charmer :) I'm in the mood of finding a photo of him with raised hand but he does so little photoshoots for some reason, even though he is very dashing and should be on the covers of all magazines.
DeleteWell, even if it ends up sucking, at least there are quite a few lovely faces to keep us entertained ;)
ReplyDeleteI did not watch Vikings as they tried to glorify them, but I will give this one a go in my loyalty to Oakes and Suter Me Some Leo.
