THE POWDER MAGE TRILOGY
TO BECOME EPIC TV SAGA
It was published seven years ago and has been sold in over 700,000 copies and now THE POWDER MAGE fantasy saga from Brian McClellan will be adapted into a TV series by Joseph Mallozzi (Utopia Falls) with No Equal Entertainment and Frantic Films companies. As Deadline reports, the drama series will take place in the Nine Nations, a
fictional world in which magic collides with 18th century technology against the backdrop of political and social revolution. At the heart of the story are Powder Mages, unique individuals who gain magical abilities from common gunpowder. The series is a fight for survival as mythical gods return to battle for a world that has changed in their absence. It will feature epic battles, gritty magic, heart-stopping duels, cunning political maneuvers, intrepid investigators, and shocking betrayals.

It's an intriguing premise!
ReplyDeleteSeems like something my publisher would give me to translate lol
DeleteA political and social revolution mixed with magical abilities from gunpowder? Well, sounds like the US will be in for a real treat if our guns can make us magic. I mean, we're already on the cusp of some ugly shit about to go down with all of the social and political turmoil here. Why not throw some magic in there. I, for one, hope I am able to obtain a dragon so I can set fire to all the bitches I hate LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat scares me most in your turmoil is how freedom of speech has been killed there totally by the cancel society and everyone applauds it. In last few day the cancel culture has gone wild and there is no turning back, methinks.
DeleteI agree. We used to pride ourselves on free speech, but the younger and more "woke" generation seem to think it's fine if we start censoring opinions we don't agree with. They won't be so happy when it turns on them though, and by then it will be too late. The world has gone mad, and sometimes I am glad that I am getting old and won't have to live through too much BS that this new generation is shoving down our throats.
DeleteBut not just censoring but lynching, they are a wild and lunatic mob full of bloodthirsty revenge.
DeleteThis is either going to be really good or really overwhelming. It sounds like they have a lot going on which scares me.
ReplyDeleteYes, an overly rich world and plot to build up on the small screens. Won't be an easy task.
DeleteCan't wait! Looks really interesting :-)
ReplyDeleteHope they do it justice.
DeleteThanks for your message about the popup in my blog. AdSense is really annoying. I haven't been able to sign in for ages (it keeps telling me that my request cannot be processed blah blah) and I actually disabled all the ads in my blog, but they still show up. Really sorry about that. If you happen to know how to fix it, let me know.
DeleteIt is in our Ad Sense dashboard, under one of the option you can unclick the option for adds that appear in between pages, but you have to tune into your Ad Sense account for that :) The ads that appear within the posts and follow the page as the reader scrolls it actually enhance my revenue, but I did kill those in between two pages ads as they are annoying to most readers, some even get scared that it is a virus or something.
DeleteIt's fun when books get made into movies. Sounds good too.
ReplyDeleteAnd into TV series like this one. I much prefer shows to movies.
