Here's a mysterious new series for you: Netflix has finished new French period set series LA REVOLUTION and is planning on releasing it in October. Not much is known about this secretive project, we only have the
poster and the teaser below, no actors, no photos, but I spied from our French sources that In this reimagined history of the French Revolution, the guillotine's future inventor uncovers a disease that drives the aristocracy to murder commoners.
The new series will stream on Netflix in October |
The eight episode mix of historical adventure and horror, created by
Aurelien Molas, is set in Kingdom of France, 1787. Investigating a
series of mysterious murders, Joseph Guillotin - future inventor of the
guillotine - discovers the existence of a new virus: blue blood. The
disease spreads within the aristocracy and pushes the nobility to attack
the people. This is the start of a revolt ... What if we had been lied
to for more than two centuries? Here is the true story of the French
Revolution…
La Revolution looks pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteHope they've cast some interesting actors.
DeleteInteresting. We'll reserve judgement until Netflix wants to give us more.
ReplyDeleteWe were totally surprised by this today! They did announce it about two years ago when they said they will be shooting French language series, but they never reported on the casting process later on.
DeleteMysterious...and promising, may be!
ReplyDeleteLes fingers crossed :)
DeleteMy daughter learned about the French Revolution from Mr. Peabody. She thinks it was started by a piece of cake and the guillotin chopped a cantaloupe in half. I kind of like Mr. Peabody’s version better.
ReplyDeleteIt is certainly much more kids friendly than the real one...
DeleteOh, and we finally got Netflix last night!! I’m cancelling Prime. :)
ReplyDeleteNoes! Now you need to order Britbox and cancel Netflix LOL
